I don't really think that's important. Besides, so far they've signed 4 total free agents away from other teams while losing 3, with Jake Long pending either way. They're still in compensation pick territory at this point. |

I hope he goes down there and get into legal trouble. lol I can't hate like that, he's a good character guy. Sucks that I can't root for him anymore.

I think they are setting themselves up for a lot of cuts next offseason...

That, and I heard most of the contracts have had cap friendly numbers in 2013, so they're likely to be higher in 2014. |

Most of the contracts have very small 2013 numbers with large spikes in year 2 (most exaggeratedly, Wallace's base salary is 1m in 2013, 15m in 2014), and then flatter numbers from year 3 on. They also have a lot of money coming off the books (Soliai's in his final year, Bess is in his final year, Incognito, Jerry, Misi also up for free agency after 2013). They obviously won't be as active in free agency next year, but the specific choice for massive year 2 spikes is interesting, as was the decision to declare the Dansby and Burnett cuts as June 1 cuts. They may be planning to make this year's cap expenditure as small as possible and roll the difference over to next year's cap. |

You realize do realize other teams have had more FA acquisitions than the Dolphins this year, right?
The Seahawks, 49ers, Eagles, Broncos just to name a few...

Let's not pretend that Miami didn't lose guys - their starting LT, starting TE and starting RB from last year are in St. Louis, Kansas City and Detroit, respectively. This team needed to fill some holes elsewhere, and have the cap room to do so. They have a RB, and they'll probably eye a T in the draft, so I call this offseason a fairly smart offseason.
Much of this hinges on Mike Wallace, but Keller is a solid pickup. He should be able to do work in the seams and within a 5-15 yard range, inside the hashmarks with Davone Bess. Brian Hartline works outside the hashmars in that 5-15 yard range, Wallace takes the top off in and outside the hashmarks...
Good options for Tanny, this should play out well...if it plays out well. (If that makes sense...)
