I think they are setting themselves up for a lot of cuts next offseason... |
Yeah, that's sort of the point. They're likely to have 7 draft choices (5 in first 3 rounds) in the first four rounds come draft night. What would be point of that if we are just going to stock up on veterans.

4 guys..
I like this. Low risk, potentially high reward. |
4 is half of 53....wait....no that doesn't sound right...
I guess we can say starters...
4 is half of 22....nope....not right either...
4 isn't even half of a baseball teams starting line-up.... |
However, you're one 7 footer away from fielding a decent basketball team.
I get where he's coming from - there's a lot of FAs looking to start for the 'fins - but it isn't as if these offers are just some "showroom floor" purchases, if you would; It's more than flash and cash, these are needs being addressed. The team doesn't have a downfield threat for Ryan Tannehill, so they go out and get Mike Wallace. The team needed to find a new TE, so they bring in Keller. Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett weren't getting the job done, bring in Dannell Ellerbie.
The 'fins lost Jake Long, Reggie Bush, Anthony Fasano and Sean Smith. Expecting them to fill these roles STRICTLY through the draft, as well as filling outstanding needs is too short sighted. _________________

These 2 I was happy with leaving TBH, should be easily replaced in the draft. Luckily we have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds. Also the Heat are the best team so I'm not sure how getting them a 7 footer would downgrade them to a decent team lol. Btw I heard we are estimated to still be around 16 mil in cap space still.

I'm really sad about this. I like Keller a lot, very underrated TE. _________________

| Also, to be clear, Long isn't gone yet, and word on the street is the Dolphins are still trying to convince him to stay, on their terms of course. (that whole no income tax thing always helps in a tie, heh) |

I was talking about the FA signings as a basketball team. _________________

| And shortly after my last post, it's being reported that Long is leaving St. Louis with no deal. |

but you said not so long ago we would win the division
| BP wrote: | and in other news, the pats aren't winning the division this season...
yes im serious. the dolphins are adding all the right pieces to their system in all the right positions. they'll be a division contender and likely be in the playoffs next year. i think they'll give the pats a run for their money and win out. |

This one hurts honestly. I loved Keller and now I have to route against him. Good thing it's only a one year deal. _________________
