Whoa there... Anxious to see the numbers. Aren't the Steelers up against the cap? IF they are and the Patriots front loaded the offer sheet, can the Steelers match it? This will be interesting to see it play out. _________________

This is my fear with DX. Don't know if Pitt will be able to match this deal. _________________

I'm not expecting it. Not the best offseason for the Steelers. |

| Bye bye Lloyd. The team will have a completely different core of wide recievers this year. Lloyd Welker and Branch replaced by Sanders, Amendola, and Thomas. Three established vets for three promising but completely unproven youngsters. |

I wouldn't call Amendola an unproven youngster just because hes not in his 30's like Welker. Hes injury prone yes, but there's no doubt about Amendola's ability when healthy hes a stud. _________________ L.O.B.- D!CK, BOOM BOOM, ET, BB. |

I don't know if they are going to dump Lloyd. Sanders is not much of a deep threat. He and Amendola do a lot of the same things well and neither of them is the deep ball. |

I am not too concerned.
DX's knees are going to keep him within the Bolt's price range.

Lloyd isn't a deep threat either.
I think we keep him though. He said he's willing to restructure his deal. _________________

He has never proven he can stay healthy and be a stud over a full season. His resume falls far short of the top four receivers on the patriots last season. |

I agree, I just hope no team manages to outprice us somehow. _________________

Compared to the wide receivers you guys normally have, yes Sanders is not a deep threat at all. Next to Lloyd, Welker, Aaron Hernandez, etc.... he sure is. And as someone mentioned, if Lloyd does not restructure its $5 mil or walk. No way we pick that up for a guy who will possibly be the 5th option when its all said and done. _________________

He was original round tendered, so a 3rd I believe. _________________
