He will use this season as a mulligan to show that his nose is clean and he has his act together. I was hoping for a multi-year deal though.

Not shocking at all giving how badly the market has been going, look at some of the other deals... a lot of players were expected to get bigger contracts. [Sean Smith, Cliff Avril, Michael Bennett, etc...]

It was either take a 3/15 type deal, or take a a 1 year deal and try and get that big contract next offseason. He chose the latter.

Yeah, he's betting on next year's market being more lucrative. 5 to 6M/year is the 2013 FA CB market. That's the lowest in years.
