Sooo... he'll probably have a career year and end up signing a 4 year 20 million dollar deal next offseason? _________________

Guess like Bennet from the cowboys eh? Although, I am sure the cowboy fans aren't as negative on Connor as they were on Bennet ... since they drafted Bennet with a second round pick and he did nothing with them behind Bennet.
Still, I'd like to know cowboys and panther fans opinions on whether Dan Connor can be a serviceable Middle line backer for the Giants in a 4-3. I was under the impression he was miscast on the 3-4, but I am not sure of his responsibilities when he was a 3-4 inside backer. And I am not sure how well he was doing on the Panthers before and after they drafted Keuchly to essentially replace him.
Still, the bar is fairly low considering he is going to replace Chase Blackburn at this point ... so it's hopefully an upgrade at this point |

Loved Connor. Figured he would push to be a starter. I was wrong. Could not cover very well for us. Good thumper thought. _________________

I think he is a solid LB. But I think he is more of a 2 down LB. He's just too stiff to provide full time zone support.
I liked Connor. I was hoping he would latch on in Dallas. Maybe he'll make it in NY. If not I think the writing is on the wall. _________________

| Good thumper, solid linebacker. That instantly makes him our best linebacker.. |

Connor is a great tackler and solid in run support but he should not be in on passing downs _________________

He's a solid linebacker. Just not at all reliable in coverage but someone who you will like on the team. _________________

| I think it's a good signing. Have play inside for 2 downs and than get him off the field because you don't want him anywhere on the field in passing situations. |

Excellent in run support, he is a liability in pass coverage. He could start, but would probably be pulled in nickel situations. _________________

We have our 3 good safeties and 2 quick, athletic LBs for passing downs. All Connor has to do is fill the hole. _________________
