He had the best catch rating of any TE in the entire league, so I think it's fair to say his hands are very good. _________________

Average starting TE, would have preferred the Raiders re sign him, only because it creates yet another hole on the roster...should be good with Eli, and have the opportunity to produce... |

Makes sense. I think the Giants only had 2mill in cap room anyway. We're to the brink right now, but we'll get under again once Diehl or his pay is cut. _________________

4 year deal with the last 3 years being fully voidable.
Only counts for $1.125M on the books in 2013. Makes 4M each of the next 3 years if not voided by the Giants.
Great deal on this one. _________________

Good 1 year deal, but not worth 4 per so cut after this season would be advisable. |

We'll let the Giants be the judge of that.
I'm glad it's more than a one year deal. The one year Bennett deal came back to bite us in the butt. Hopefully we have some stability with Myers as our receiving TE, and Robinson as our blocking TE moving forward. _________________

So that's a 4 year/13.125M contract? Trying to keep track for comp picks guesstimation purpose. _________________

1st Quarter; 10 receptions, 104 yards, 0 TDs
2nd Quarter; 21 receptions 198 yards, 1 TD
3rd quarter; 12 receptions 113 yards, 0 TDs
4th quarter; 36 receptions, 391 yards, 3 TDs.
50% of his touchdowns came in one game against the bucs and both in the 4th quarter. One when we were down 28-10 and the other when we were down 35-17. His other 4th quarter TD came against the Browns when we were 10 points down with a few seconds left. Eli certainly might make him look good but there is no doubt the guys stats were hugely padded in dead time. _________________

HUGE mistake not to IMO. Bennett has a lot of potential and looked to be a go to guy for Eli. Myers won't be any better than Pascoe or Ballard. _________________

I wanted Bennett back for his blocking mostly. As a receiver, Myers is an upgrade. He's more fluid and knows how to find a hole in the defense. Ballard was a better receiver for us than Bennett.
The Giants don't make HUGE mistakes very often in free agency when it comes to their own players. Here is a list of notable names that left the Giants in recent years.
RB Derrick Ward
RB Brandon Jacobs
WR Steve Smith
WR Mario Manningham
TE Kevin Boss
TE Jake Ballard
DE Dave Tollefson
DT Barry Cofield
LB Kawika Mitchell
CB Aaron Ross _________________

That can't be true. _________________

I would certainly hope so. Bennett is 6'6" 275. If Myers isn't more fluid at 6'3" 250, then the Giants really screwed something up here. _________________

Can only speak about the guy i've watched for the last 4 years and fluid isn't something i'd say about Myers. _________________
