Couldn't have said it better. I liked Jake, would've liked to see him back but it's not that big of a deal that he's gone. We have the chance to pick up a very promising T early in the draft that will fit our scheme better or Winston/Vollmer.
I'm glad this is finally over and our teams can move on now. |
I could definitely see them go after Vollmer, it would weaken a division rival. |

All the sudden our offensive line looks solid.

Saffold told Fisher he'd be fine switching to RT. _________________ "It's nice to be able to look someone in the eye now and say the Rams are back." - Jeff Fisher |

Wow a Rams fan that doesn't think their team is a Super Bowl favorite! |
No one eluded they were. Are you mad Greenbay isn't the favorite right now or something? Sounds like you are bitter about the signing. |
No it justs seems like every Rams fan I've seen thinks their the [inappropriate/removed] or something lol not to generalzie |
You're totally generalizing. I've seen more optimism from non-Ram fans about the Rams than Rams fans. Most of us are cautiously optimistic...and I stress cautious after years of the team letting us down. _________________

You just did generalize. You know what generalize means?
You brought the Superbowl up in this thread, not a Rams fan. |

There should be a nice domino effect tomorrow. I suspect that Miami has been the high bidder on Winston or Vollmer. They probably sign one of those two tomorrow, and then the other should sign shortly.

Does that mean that the Rams won't shop him though? |

I think if the Rams got an offer, they'd consider it.
IMO, it'll be Winston. But that's just a guess. _________________

Lost out on Jeff Fisher, Jared Cook and now Jake Long. |

Also a very nice deal for the Rams.
Who will play RT? _________________

Jake Long's play should improve this year barring injuries. It's a good signing I'm just concerned how the Rams will find room to fit this under the cap. |
I agree with you 100%. I wanted to see him go to the Rams because I still like Long and want to see him have a shot at succeeding. I really hope he stays healthy for you (since durability is his other issue) because I think he can still be elite in the power blocking scheme.
Good luck, Jake! _________________ With much cheese,

I'd rather go with Winston, who has experience in our scheme and would likely come cheaper. _________________ With much cheese,
