No thanks to Eifert. We have much bigger needs than TE.

I'd personally take Damontre there and a Ryan/Amerson/Slay in the second.

Damontre Moore possesses all the traits that Dimitroff avoids in a prospect.

Agreed but by god i would easily take the 2 DT's you got going right after Eifert in the 1st over him easily.

If the Falcons take a offensive weapon in the 1st round this year be it RB, WR, or TE then Dimitroff is off his rocker.

1st - Jessie Williams
2nd - Tank Carradine

Can't top that draft for the falcons at all with who you have available to us.

Covers 2 of our 4 biggest needs the 3rd being OLB 4th being CB.

I was thinking that Eifert is clearly the best tight end in this class and has potential to be great, and at 30 he's a steal, while there is still great value at DT on the board (John Jenkins, Jesse Williams, Kawann Short, Sylvester Williams, Brandon Wiliams who I'm extremely high on and can play NT in the 3-4 which Mike Nolan likes to run, and Chris Jones who is underrated as hell). Do you think that Eifert is a better TE than Jenkins and Williams are NT's?

Either Zack Ertz went twice or there are two of them in this draft and they both played TE for Stanford.

Not really i don't im sorta dissapointed in this draft as far as TE's go. None of them are that impressive to warrant a 1st round pick to me.

If i could grab Escobar, Kelce, Reed, Fauria, Mcdonald in the 2nd to 4th rounds compared to Eifert and Ertz who aren't really that much more impressive than those guys then i will do that all day long.

The strength of this TE class is in the middle of the draft where all the good talent is where as the strength of the D-line in this class is at the 1st 2 or 3 rounds.

Plus i don't see but Jessie Williams, Jenkins, and Brandon Williams being able to handle the 3-4 NT spot on that list as surely i know Short can't and have my doubts sylvester can.

It's hard to get a legit stud as a true NT. Any good 3-4 defensive team will tell you that and their fans should know that.

Where as TE is alot easier to get a talented on all the way through the draft.

Also as far as the DE pick goes with Tank if he is healthy i think he is more talented than both Eifert and Jessie Williams and in the 2nd round could be the biggest steal of this draft upside wise.

Plus again it covers 2 of our 4 biggest needs being DE, NT, OLB, and CB.

TE is not one of our biggest needs as of right now with Gonzo, Coffman, and Palmer on the team.

We can grab one a little later in the draft if we must with some upside to learn under Gonzo for a year or if al else fails we can take a TE next year like Austin who is easily a better TE prospect than Eifert or Ertz are.

I would say this list is an almost have to have for our defense right now because of how little amount of positions are filled right now.

DE x2

CB x2

OLB x2

ILB x1

NT x1

That is to me what we have to have to even make the defense complete and have atleast decent depth.

CB - Assante, McClain, Franks thats it right now Grimes Gone Owens Gone

DE - Biermann, Matthews, Massaquao thats it. Abe gone Sidbury gone

OLB - Weatherspoon, Nicholas Thats it. Mike Peterson Gone

ILB - Akeem Dent - No one else XD

DT - Babs, Peters, Jerry, Robertson. 4 good 4-3 DT or 3-4DE no NT though.

As you can see our defense is in some SERIOUS NEED of help thats why anyone who goes offense early for the falcons are getting all this backlash.

We can live with what we got on offense right now even with depth as it's good depth. Palmer and Coffman are good TE depth was last year and will be this year. Our WR core might could use another good #4 or so later? RB's are set maybe a later round back with upside like lattimore later?

Could possibly use a RG although we just resigned Reynolds to a 2 yr deal this offseason and he played solid at RG before injury. Plis Mike Johnson and Konz although i think he goes to center.

I have some reservations about Ogletree, but I would be happy with that draft.

Jordan Reed is fine for now but it sounds like Fred Davis is more like a when and not an if to be brought back. Things could change sure.

Sylvester Williams and Justin Hunter? Wow, what a draft that'd be. A pipe dream I think though.

The two first round picks are solid, not sold on CB in round one, but could see it happening. Second round pick is okay, I actually like Sylvester Williams for the Vikings at that point.
