Other NFL 31 teams should be worried.

Fixed

Dude runs a 4.4 40
Would be able to run the Pistol/read option as well.

#1)RG3
#2)K. Cousins
#3)Pat White

This should tell everyone, we don't plan to ditch the Pistol/Read option, because RG3 got hurt.

Shanahan<>Figure it out Defensive Coordinators...If you can! Laughing

Giants had him in, so he could emulate RG3 in practice or scout team.
So they can try to figure out how to stop RG3.

Anytime we can stick it to John Mara, makes me very happy.
(Winning the SB in their stadium this yr, would be the ultimate though)

Hopefully, we can welcome him aboard this week.

Good Luck N.Y. lol

Dude enough! Just stop please!

Lavar, mine your business.

And change your user name.
Lavar Arrington is arguably THE most overrated Redskins player of all-time, dude.

And... he's a huge [inappropriate/removed], to boot.
Many, if not most Redskins fans cannot stand Arrington.

And I care why? I was a fan of Lavar while he played at Penn State along with Brandon Short and Courtney Brown so your opinion of him means absolutely nothing to me.

It gets tiring seeing you drag Redskins fans on this website through the mud along with you every time you make some ridiculous stupid post that either insults another fanbase or is just flat out wrong in general. The moment you stop doing this is the moment I will "MIND" my business.

What's wrong with my opinion of a possible Pat White signing?

Is he not fast & suitable for the Read Option/ Pistol offense the Redskins run?
Would he not be a decent #3 QB.

Does he throw like RG3? Absolutely not
But he doesn't need too as a #3 anyways.

You don't thin that pat White in the game running the Pistol would be a dangerous weapon VS other teams?

Redskins were the #1 rushing team last season and could potentially add a weapon, they didn't have before.

Who's to say they don't use him like they did Brandon Banks?
Gadget plays or reverses? While RG3 is in the game.

His speed and quickness as a player cannot be ignored.

My insult to the Giants John Mara is shared my MANY Redskins fans.

I have the right to feel we were screwed, by a Divisional rival.
That's not something I will get over anytime soon.
Neither should you, if you were a true redskins fan.

I should revoke your fan card, Lavar.

Revoke my fan card? If you only knew the amount of family events I've missed rooting for a team that has sucked since I was 7 years old, not to mention my first time ever on a cruise ship I was stuck in my room for 4 hours watching the Redskins vs. Cowboys. Don't ever question my fandom to a team that has given me far more hard times than good yet I've never jumped ship.

Pat White sucks. If Pat White didn't suck he would still be in Miami or at least somewhere playing football not trying to get back into baseball. He won't make the opening day roster so I honestly could careless but the fact that you think he's going to be some kind of difference maker is a joke in itself. Hell why we're at it, we should sign Jamarcus Russell or Vince Young cause they've both had more success in the NFL than Pat White.

Please keep it to football, or we will lock this one up.

How can anyone come to the conclusion that he sucks, Lavar?

He's never started 1 NFL game.
http://www.nfl.com/player/patwhite/71511/profile

He has 5 pass attempts in his career.
21 rushes for 81 yards.

That's it!

At least we've seen what Jabba the Hut Russell can do.
As well as Vince Young.

Both have a seriously bad mental makeup for the game.
Whether it's effort/dedication, film room/study or simply leadership qualities.

Vince Young being the more successful of the group.

Now you could be right.
Maybe Pat White does suck?

But can we see the guy start 1 single game, before coming to that conclusion first?

Maybe the Read option in the Redskins system, revives his career.
Maybe he can work on his mechanics and improve his passing skills?

Wouldn't this season be the perfect chance to see, considering RG3 isn't playing pre season at all? We're hoping wl-1 is even possible for RG3.

Doesn't Pat White deserve a 2nd chance?
I've never heard anything bad about his off the field stuff.

If he were to ever get it right, I think our system would be ideal for him.

Why not sign this dude for cheap to compete, lavar?

What can it hurt?
he would see some playing time, for pre season.
Then we make a decision, whether to keep him or let him go.

i expect us to have a couple other QB's anyway for training camp as well.
Let them compete.

I'm personally not a fan of the (not yet) signing. I don't know much about Pat White, he has to prove himself to stay. I understand he's a #3 for us but what exactly has he done in the NFL since he was drafted... And guys, calm down. No need to close the thread because of your bickering.

Laughing Laughing Laughing

As I said in the SF thread, Pat White has the worst accuracy I've ever seen for a QB of this level, and I've seen some pretty awful players. Redskins fans better hope he's just a camp body or he's willing to change positions.

I have no problems with him coming into compete but with more teams considering using a bit of the read-option the fact that no team has even sniffed around him should be telling...

What an underwhelming signing. The pistol and zone read option are not going to be long lasting staples in the NFL, and Pat White simply can't play. I'd be surprised if he makes it onto the final 53 man roster.

Here's a good quote from a fellow redskins fan here.
i think he nailed it, imo.

This signing is great! It will alow our team to continue to practice the read option in mini camp and OTAs while RGIIi continues to recuperate.

It will alow our D to prep for Vick (who is slower now than White, but will be running a read option if Kellys design.)

It screws the Giants out of being able to prep for 4 games on their schedule.

It will allow us to part company with The Sex Cannon and possibly free up some money (does cutting Rex save us any cash???)

And lastly, It potentially paves the way to recoup picks for Cousns next offseason if we draft a QB in the mid rounds of either of the next two drafts (this draft or next).

I love it.

I think they'll change the HOF waiting list to three years just for Pat White because he's such a transcendent and historically great player.

...

Interesting notes from Nathan Fenno of the Washington Post:

Quote:
Pat White, who sued #NFL over concussions last December, is about to sign with the #Redskins, according to multiple reports.

Earlier today, White dismissed his concussion claim against #NFL in federal court, according to court records. #Redskins

Pat White's original lawsuit claims he "continues to suffer from permanent injuries ... severe headaches, speech issues, memory loss."

That's a sampling of the laundry list of White's alleged maladies that included "diminished self-esteem." #Redskins

@AlbertBreer @Aaron_Nagler Pat White dropped his claim against the #NFL in federal court earlier today. Good timing.

Also, Pat White has still yet to complete a regular-season pass in the NFL.

Think that should tell you all you need to know about Pat White.

If he is signed. He won't make the final 53. Pay White isnt a QB. He is an athlete with no position. When he was deciding to make a comeback he should have picked a different position to come in with.

Well no team wouldn't bother giving White a shot if they knew he had a serious problem and couldn't talk right or focus. So it sounds like he lied in court, and will get away with it too.

If I'm a Redskins fan, I wouldn't get too excited. This guy still has a lot to prove before he gets any playing time.

If anything, they should've just traded for Joe Webb. He has a higher ceiling, and can atleast complete a pass.
