Also, Pat White has still yet to complete a regular-season pass in the NFL.

Ike Taylor almost killed him too.

I have no problems with him coming into compete but with more teams considering using a bit of the read-option the fact that no team has even sniffed around him should be telling...

He's going to be a camp body so the rest of the offense can keep running reps of the pistol/read option while RG3 rehabs the knee. If he does decently, he might make the roster in Week 1 and then be the scout QB for the defense to play against when we have to play the Eagles or any other team that has a QB that has wheels.

But as a difference maker in a real NFL game, this is not a good signing. I don't expect him to make the opening day roster though.

I think having a good practice QB could be a good difference maker for your team because you guys are aiming at the super bowl..and for superbowl teams ..good practice and being prepared is huge!..thats just my opinion..I hear the ravens rave abotu tyrod all the time..not only as a back up..but also working hard at practice and giving the D a good practive..i bet back ups like Brady Quin and Harrell leave much to be desired at practice lol

We agree. I like his value as a camp body and someone that the D can practice against (especially since the Eagles are going to switch to Kelly's offense). I was strictly speaking of him under center in an NFL regular season game. If it comes to that, I don't like our chances on offense that game vs. possibly using another QB. He may prove me wrong though so I'm willing to give the guy a fair shot to see what he can prove.

In other news, Pat White was practicing the read option in his back yard by himself and managed to score 4 TD's on the Packers defense while Dom Capers was trying to figure out who a ReadOption is and why 2 down lineman nickel defense doesn't stop the run. Laughing Crying or Very sad

This is an awesome post.

Redskins fans better hope he's just a camp body or he's willing to change positions.

My initial reaction was that he could be a Brandon Banks replacement. But really, he's very likely to just be a camp body.

I'm willing to give him a shot.
See what he can do.

The fact that Tony Sparano, was his coach/teacher(MIA) should give anyone pause.
Dude has ruined Sanchez & probably anything else he's touched.

Lets see what real NFL coach QB developers, can do. (Mike & Kyle Shanahan)

So.. pretty much a camp body... probably to allow the rest of the Skins offense to practice the option since RG3 is unlikely to be ready for camp. Good thing for the Skins they aren't giving him much more than that.

Sparano ruined Sanchez....?

Not sure if serious... reality check, Sanchez sucked far before Sparano got there. Obviously he's no QB guru and isn't a guy who can develop QBs but when a good QB was playing for him (Pennington), there wasn't a problem.

You can't blame Sparano for Pat White's inherent lack of accuracy, by far his greatest flaw.

If there was ever a system for Pat White to have success in the NFL it's in Washington.

One of my favorite college players of all-time. Hope he makes the squad
