A few teams are still mulling decision on RFA WR Danario Alexander. Feeling is Chargers would match anything reasonable. Browns are a team to keep an eye on.

The Browns apparently the team mostly in play for WR Danario Alexander.

The Chargers gave Alexander the low level tender and he since he went undrafted, the Chargers won't get any compensation if a team signed him to an offer sheet.

I think the Bills have to roll the dice and get in on this guy. He is the big bodied WR Nix wants and we have the cap space and holes needed to be filled.

This will also allow us to wait on a WR in the draft and look at other options.

I'd sign him in a heartbeat.

The guy puts together a good half of a season after recovering from another injury, and suddenly teams are lining up to give him money. I don't get it.

No team will give him ridiculous money because of his injuries and the Chargers will match anything if its not too expensive. We find out his market value and can get him long term for relatively cheapish. He's a beast receiver, but no team should want to give him top money. And I doubt they will.

Which is why the Chargers gave him the lowest tender possible, because they will match pretty much any contract he signs, this way if no one signs him to an offer sheet he plays for them for the least amount of money-tender that was available.

yeah I was outraged at first but TT is playing it smart. Also could be a reason we want to save the precious cap we have.

Shame about his injuries, he could have been a top 10 receiver in this league.

If he's not injured he could be. Sounds homerish but he can put up big time stats with Rivers. Who knows how different his role will be with McCoy, but he's got big time potential if his knee holds up.

Danario is a great kid but you never know how long he'll stay healthy. And if I were a turf team, I'd avoid him.

He has a ton of talent. I saw a bloody good receiver when he was with the Rams, but he could never stay healthy.

Depending on the $$$, it could be worth buying guaranteed production, if he can stay healthy for even 6 or 7 weeks.

Why not? Plenty of players made money after a small sample size of success. Its actually really common.

Yes the injury is an issue but no one knows how big or small the offers will be.

I still remember mocking him in the first round to Baltimore.

The kid is so talented. I hope he stays healthy and I hope he has a great season next year. Absolutely love DX as a player and if he were to get an offer from Chicago, I'd be thrilled.

That said, there's a 0% chance that happens.
