Blount in NE? That's something I'd never think I see.

Shocked we got anything in return for him.

No one is going to trade anything for a guy who has made it clear that he pretty much just wants to moonlight as a football player. If he was an exceptional player then maybe. But all he is right now is an intriguing prospect. And when he starts giving demands like he did. It's like who the hell do you think you are.

To be fair, Blount is about as close to nothing as you can get.

2 years removed from a 1000 yard season and he'll be filling a role this team has lacked for some time....

He may have been "nothing" in Tampa last season, but he'll be more productive than Demps would've been

What role? Hopefully not power back. He's 250 pounds, but he spends most of his time in the backfield tap-dancing more than Barry Sanders and eventually just tripping over his own feet. If you can get him in open space, he's fun to watch though. Too bad his hands are crap.

As I said....he's better than Demps and will get the opportunity to contribute in New England. He'll definitely get his fair share of carries. If he can get back to running to his strengths like he did in 2010....he could contribute quite a bit to this backfield.

Blount has so much untapped potential.

Blount really makes your offense one dimensional. He can't pass block and he has stone hands. I like him but I don't think he'll work out in NE.

He really, really doesn't. The best he has to offer is already in .gifs on this page.

He's a big back, but not a power back. He's not very good out of the backfield of blocking. He has one dimension. He's really good at that part of his game, but that's all he has.

Shame on you

You obviously haven't followed his pro career, probably just his highlights.

I will let you find out yourself about what he can and can not do.

No offense but your coaching has been pretty bad bro. Every time i saw Tampa trying to use Blount its was in obvious formation and a obvious play, against a obviously stacked box. and every one knew where the ball was going.

You can see by the things hes capable of doing few big backs are capable of doing.

I never liked the system he was in Tampa and feel the Patriots system fits better that more spread based scheme woudl benefit him.

I'd be surprised if Blount makes the Pats roster

He's not really the type of player you build your offense or the scheme around.

Time will tell but I think he gets zero playing time. It for sure won't on passing downs and he for sure won't be in short yardage or goal line situations so that basically leave first down.

I've definitely followed his pro career...you're just bitter he gave up on your team. Fact is...the potential is there, the flashes of brilliance have been there...he can contribute and will get a chance to.
