Very good kicker who will be remembered for his playoff failures more than anything, which is unfortunate. If not for injuries I think he would have been a solid kicker for another decade. Strong leg, accurate; I wish he would have gotten additional chances at some pressure kicks.

I think he retired so I would stop telling everyone the Jets paid him off. Not that it will work mind you.

And the Pats. Laughing

He only missed one against the Pats. An impossible kick for any kicker really.

This guy had so many kicking fails.

Best of luck to him but I can't help but remember how the Chargers would be seen the past decade if he wasn't the kicker.

Decent kicker in his day. At 31 I'm willing to bet you'll see him playing in the NFL again someday.

Very good kicker in the regular season. Too bad he'll be remembered as Mr. Anti-clutch in the playoffs.

That one was, what, 53-54 yards? Not easy, but makeable.

Thanks Nate for ruining my teams chances to get to the SB when you had your chance, Four times I think against the Jets in 2004, 2009. I think I still have nightmares with the multiple misses he's had in the playoffs.

The only game that was really bad was when he missed three against the Jets, only to lose by 3 points. I remember watching that game and thinking Kaeding was being paid off by Rex Ryan.

2004 playoffs in OT to kick a FG to win the game, yeah it was raining but whatever. Gotta come through that was his job.
