The gist is, he's (now) a below average punter who makes more then a comparable or better rookie would.

That's the long and short of it.

Thanks to Chris for his years as a Viking, looking foward to seeing what Priefer can do with this Locke kid. Hopefully we'll have our punter and kicker locked in for the next ~10 years.

Always been a fan of his due to his personality, easily the coolest punter in the NFL. However, the writing was on the wall on this when the Vikings drafted a punter in the 5th round (not to mention his declining play). I'm sure some team will bring him in for camp, remains to be seen if he can still win a starting job. I'll be rooting for him.

I would say he is average. Inconsistent average. But yea, with Walsh's success, I think it was just a matter of time.

He was the only Viking I actually liked (as a Packer fan).

Well then...

Going to miss that guy. Was hilarious. Especially after he took #4 following the 2010 season so Favre couldn't come back. Laughing

He should be able to find a team to go to training camp with, I think.

Wish him the best. On the plus side now I don't have to like any Vikings players.

I like Rodgers. You must pick 1 Vikings starting player to like.

Kluwe is just made of awesome. I really hope my team at least brings him in to compete with Powell. Think he'd beat out Powell tbh.

That was because McNabb joined the team (if im not mistaken, I try to block out that player on the team).
