Quote:
Former East Central University All Conference defensive end Armonty Bryant, recently drafted in the seventh round by the Cleveland Browns, is in trouble with the law again as of the early-morning hours Friday.

Having apparently survived his first brush with the law last year, when he was arrested for selling marijuana to an undercover police officer, Bryant had managed to find employment with Cleveland.
Whether his latest brush with the law will affect his athletic future remains to be seen. Getting to Ohio with a driver’s license may be another matter. Bryant appeared to be worried about it, according to the police report.

Bryant was arrested for driving under the influence with refusal. The term means a suspect refused to blow properly into an Intoxylizer. Deficient reading showed Bryant with readings of 0.10 and 0.09. The legal minimum for intoxication is 0.08.

Gets blessed with opportunities and squanders them. I'll never understand why people take risks like this with so much to lose.

Is a DUI a felony or a driving violation in OH?

My guess? It will. Dude is a 7th round pick and he's getting in trouble with the police less than ten days after being picked? Something tells me the Browns weren't exactly investing a whole lot in him in the first place, and won't really be too cut up if they have to kick him out.

Que the people who rush into a thread for damage control and defend a bad draft.

We had a bad draft?

The only positions I'm upset we didn't fix was TE, FS and OG. I still have hope we look at Kerry Rhodes.

1st offense is a misdemeanor in Oklahoma

Anyone interested in the potential penalties:
Jail – From 5 Days to 1 Year
Fine – Up to $1,000
License Suspension – 30 Days
Participate in Assessment and Evaluation for Treatment
DUI Fees - $300 Minimum

It will be interesting to see if the Browns don't bother to sign him and release his rights after this, 7th round picks aren't owed anything.

If you're last name is Bryant and you're a Brown, watch out. desmond had a better mug shot though.

Clearly, there's a pattern. Rolling Eyes

His odds of making the team were next to nothing anyway. Guess he just wanted to remove the "next to" from that statement without even getting a shot in camp.
