I guess gone are the days that Stadiums aren't named after corporations.

Sad

Stadiums cost way too much money now a days to finance. Unless you come up on someone who is willing to deal out cash (Jerry Jones) to privately fund a stadium almost entirely by themselves, then a large naming rights deal is essential to the financing of the overall stadium.

In fact, often times when proposing a new stadium to a city, the team will include naming rights deal as a planned financing option for the facility.

Rumor is Trent Baalke got involved in the negotiations and convinced Levi Strauss & Co. that Lucky Brand jeans were interested in the naming rights. Levi Strauss & Co. eventually caved in for $220 million and gave Baalke 220 free pairs of jeans.

Baalke you bastard! Must everything you touch turn to gold??!!

Can we refer to the seats in the north end of the stadium as "the fly"?

Levi's Stadium isn't too bad. I like it better than a lot of other names
