I can't imagine he's going to stick with another team; he may get a try out every now and again, but he's never been very promising, even when he was a starting quarterback. Moves like this do make me laugh though when they come on the heels of the team signing him in the same year. _________________

Jackson can be a solid backup QB, I think he will catch on somewhere. The Bills obviously didnt have a need for him with the additions of Kolb and Manuel. _________________

He'd be a fine backup somewhere, he won't go long without at least a tryout I'd imagine. |

My brain was in the Tebow thread still, I thought that's who you were talking about. My jaw almost hit the floor.
Yeah, Jackson would be great competition for Smith/Sanchez/Whoever else you guys are trying out. |

As of now, it's Geno vs. Sanchez for the starting job and McElroy vs. Simms for the third string job. |

In all seriousness, I would love for Tarvaris to come back and compete for the backup job. He knows the system, knows most of the players, and is good enough to manage a game in spot duty. I'd still prefer to see Jerrod Johnson surprise us all and win this job but TJack would be good competition.
I actually loathed him as a starter here and I can't believe I'm saying I'd be willing to have him back I guess our backup QB position isn't too bright.
How does this effect the compensational draft pick Seattle was supposed to get for Jackson? _________________

I'm with you - hated him as a starter but he could be a good backup.
Not sure about the comp pick question though. |

Dang...Was hoping he'd be the starter in Buffalo.
He's a good backup QB. I could see Chicago, Baltimore, or Kansas City all look his way. _________________

Bring this guy back to Seattle! He can't lead a game winning drive for crap, but he can manage a game with the best of them. I'd rather have a proven backup on our team than Quinn or Johnson. _________________

I figured this would happen before the seasons started, but this came sooner than I expected. I guess it makes sense though if they really want to develop Manuel while making sure Kolb is ready day 1. More snaps to split between them. |
