Would not mind at all if the Packers brought him in to replace Harrell. Our back up spot is one of the worst in the NFL, if not the worst.

Jackson has spent a lot of time in the WCO, so it would be a natural fit.

I dont think Jackson is a bad 1 to 2 game option as a starter, but he obviously isnt a long term starter. He basically wont give you a Joe Webb like performance, he can come in and run the offense and not make crucial mistakes. Jackson has always been a tentative passer, which leads to minimal int numbers and production.

In all seriousness, I would love for Tarvaris to come back and compete for the backup job. He knows the system, knows most of the players, and is good enough to manage a game in spot duty. I'd still prefer to see Jerrod Johnson surprise us all and win this job Pray but TJack would be good competition.

I actually loathed him as a starter here and I can't believe I'm saying I'd be willing to have him back Laughing I guess our backup QB position isn't too bright.

How does this effect the compensational draft pick Seattle was supposed to get for Jackson?

he was traded for. so there would be no compensation (me thinks)

They got a 2014 7th, if Jackson had dressed for more than 8 games the Seahawks would have gotten a 6th instead.

Jackson dressed for exactly 0 games.

Jackson is one of the best back up QBs in the league. Good guy, plays awesome off of the bench, and has a good amount of experience. He is a horrible starter. His biggest problem is he has a horrible mentality when he knows he has to start. I would be thrilled to have him on my team as the #2 though.

Question for Seahawks fans...

Would you really rather have Brady Quinn over TJack? Really?

Sign him Seattle!!!

Yea I still dont know what Green Bay is doing at backup Confused

I would have thought the Packers would have been the ones to get a guy like Colt McCoy or something.

Heck, I'd like to see you guys sign Vince Young. Very Happy

He's a really good option to have for a backup QB. I figure another team will scoop him up by the end of the week.

Yeah, this really isn't a move that was unexpected, we've got three new QB's on top of T-Jax, and the coaching staff obviously likes the potential our rookies have on top of Kolb's ability.

This was more for T-Jax benefit as well as the teams. Wish the guy well, he got a really raw deal here and was nothing but a total class act the whole way.

Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson, placed on waivers by the Buffalo Bills on Monday, is heading to Seattle in the next day or two to possibly sign a contract with the team, two sources said.

Well there you go! In any case, he should beat out Brady Quinn to be the backup if he signs with the Hawks.
