I didn't think so. This hurts depth though.

Dallas starters should be Durant, Lee, and Carter if I'm not mistaken.

Saints, he signed as a free-agent this off-season.

He was a projected starter.

Oh my bad, I was confused. Don't know, then. The Saints LB corp is a bit of a mixed bag especially at OLB.

Hurts depth and sub packages. I read he was also helping the lb's on the field with learning the scheme and techniques that Rob Ryan is running since he has 2 years experience in it from his time in Dallas.

I think they're going to regret passing on Jarvis Jones.

As will Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Baltimore. They're going to regret the Saints passing on him as well because they're all going to have to face him twice a year. I fully expect him to walk right into the Steelers' system and be a 12+ sack per year guy who forces multiple turnovers.

Your move Atlanta.

In all seriousness, it is just awful when a player goes down before the season even starts.

I'll be interested to see if this means more playing time for Chase Thomas. He shouldn't have gone undrafted, hopefully now he gets a chance to prove himself. One of my favorites during the draft, sucks that he's on the Saints. Sad

Just like when we lost Chris Chamberlain to a knee injury before last season started. Sad

Saints put a bounty out on their own player, showing the league they mean business

I think the Saints were looking at Martez Wilson, Junior Galette, and (odd but interesting choice of) Will Smith as the mix and match starting rush LBs... along with Butler. So yeah, this sure hurts their depth a bit, but it isn't an overwhelming loss.
