The Prosecution has a ton of circumstantial evidence, just don't have the smoking gun so to speak

The sad part about how most people understand the judicial system is that they think circumstantial evidence is somehow second class evidence. There's no need for a "smoking gun", so to speak. Certainly it can help, but it's not necessary.

Thought so as well. Aren't most cases circumstantial? Seems like some are implying that circumstantial=weak, while the evidence here is very strong.

Yes lot's of cases have circumstantial for most part and probably the other guys he was with are not upstanding citizens. Then if they get called to testify deffense will trash them if they have record.

According to law source Aaron Hernandez under investigation for possible connection to 2012 double murder in Boston

WOW!

Edit:
Story is posted:

Quote:
FOX 25 has learned exclusively that investigators are looking into Aaron Hernandez as a possible suspect in a double murder that happened on July 16, 2012 in downtown Boston.

According to the Boston Police blog from that date, officers responded to the intersection of Shawmut Avenue and Herald Street just after 2 a.m. When they arrived, they found three people had been shot, two fatally, as they sat in a car at a traffic light.

The men were identified as Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu. The FOX 25 source said the men, who worked at a cleaning company in Dorchester, had just left a bar in the area.

Furtado and Abreu were sitting in the front seat of the vehicle when witnesses said the occupants of a gray or silver SUV with Rhode Island plates opened fire on it. The surviving victim was in the back seat. Investigators believed two others in the car fled the scene.

The source said that investigators were looking into Aaron Hernandez's connection to the killing.

On Wednesday, Hernandez was charged with murder in the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, of Dorchester.

An investigation is ongoing.

I'm a little curious how the judge thought Hernandez could flee with a GPS tracker and all that attention around his home.

That attention will go away in next 6 months to year before trial starts and device can be cut off.

They can also be spoofed. He has enough money to make some arrangement if he was so inclined.

Hernandez's girlfriend isn't relevant, particularly in this context. It doesn't need to be discussed.

Plus they should be thinking about public safety as well...strong evidence in 1 murder, being investigated for another double homicide, etc...

This sort of picture is neither relevant, nor necessary. We don't need TMZ style photos of Hernandez every time he steps out of a jail cell, into a court room, or whatever. This isn't a gossip rag.

Yes thank you. Sick of seeing these pics of him just standing there. Who cares

i also appreciate the mods and Webby stepping in to help define the boundaries of discussion. the ongoing conversation will benefit without long treatises of his tattoos and pics of what clothing was removed from his house.

keep in mind this case is likely to become the nation's next big celebrity trial, which unfortunately our society sops up, and could still be going on a year or two from now. which means FF will be discussing it then too.

+1

glad were not wasting the conversation on tattoo talk

Let me just point out that the "tattoo talk" was about a specific tattoo that does/doesn't show gang affiliation. Someone known to be in a gang would have a much harder time playing the innocent card. That's a fact of life and does have relevance to what were talking about. However, there is alot of things like pictures that just don't need to be here.
