Demond Bishop agrees to one-year deal with vikings, per source with knowledge of situation.

Take it for what it's worth as it's PFT.

Good depth signing, one year deal can't be worth that much, allows Henderson to play OLB and he could start at ILB without rushing Gerald Hodges into a starting role.

No surprise there. They love our castoffs.

Desmond Bishop's one-year deal will be worth around $1.5M. Incentives could push it up around $2M. About what Erin made last year. #Vikings

So I like the money for that, very cheap, give him a year to prove himself and if he doesn't do anything, who cares.

Can't wait to see him attempt to bring down guys like Cobb, Franklin and Finley in space with his reduced speed Laughing

I'm thinking he'll get a first look at WLB in camp. Wouldn't be surprising if Henderson beats him out at MLB, he knows the system, and made the calls in the nickel last year.

That would put Bishop in competition with 4th rounder Gerald Hodges for the #3 spot at WLB.

I like the signing if hit keeps a 4th round rookie from starting day 1.

Hard to complain about having better overall depth, even if I do not like him in a 4-3.

Bishop, even if he lost a bit of his speed, should be a significant upgrade over Brinkley who started last year and is a probable bench played this year. The Viking weakest unit just got a bit better. It still will be the weakest unit for the year likely, but this move could bring it towards average overall if he panes out which is a nice positive.

Hopefully bishop will be one more ex packer who went on to have a decent career in mn. I'm not expecting much. I'd rather pay him 1.5 million on one year then what the packers were stuck with.mn should make upgrades next year to the MLB spot. For now bishop is on par with Henderson and better then Brinkley

Phase one is complete for seattle. Now we wait til that contract is up so he can join seattle next season. Great move for the hawks
