The Browns traded Brian Sanford to Seattle for John Moffett

Seahawks basically admitted they missed on Moffitt (3rd round/2011) by dealing him. Sanford might not make the 53-man roster.

Moffett fill a big need for Browns at guard, where Jason Pinkston was recently injured

Seattle looking for DEs with Irvin facing suspension and Clemons still coming back from injury. Browns deep DL. Could benefit both sides

Good deal for Browns. Should be a good fit for their line and can start at RG for them.

Been good backup for us shown some flashes, got some decent potential, at worst decent depth

Solid depth guy. Unfortunately there was just no chance for him to see a lot of action because of the studs and depth we have at DE. You will like him and he will contribute as depth.

You guys def won the deal IMO. Moffitt pretty good in the run game and decent in pass pro. He is quite the character. Going to miss his words of wisdom on the real rob report

I like John Moffitt and think he could end up being a quality, reliable starting lineman there. Problem in Seattle was that JR Sweezy is a significantly better athlete and as each day passed closed the large experience adavantage that Moffitt started with. Couple that with the emergence of Alvin Bailey and Michael Bowie, and Moffitt would have been in tough to make the squad.

Moffitt is a tremendously likeable funny guy that will be missed moreso on the airwaves than on the football field. Wish him the best.
