Not only did the New York Giants fall to the Indianapolis Colts 20-12 on Sunday night, but they also lost starting center David Baas for what could be up to 3-6 weeks after reportedly suffering a sprained MCL.

Blessing in disguise. Our 2 worst O-line man can finally sit and let the future of the Giant's develop in Pugh or Brewer/Mosley. Of course they could also be worse than Baas or Diehl but in that case better to find out now rather than later when we have no other options.

Just better hope Pugh can handle Ware because that game just might honestly swing in Cowboys favor now.

Diehl is certainly a blessing. Baas is very average at best but now our depth is very thin.

And honestly there is no way Diehl would have handled Ware so anything Pugh can give us is by default better. Laughing

Well Pugh certainly going to have rookie mistakes against an all time great like Ware so we are probably going to have to rotate an extra blocker there, like an RB/TE or maybe both. Good news is that for the first time in a wile a rookie will actually be placed on the starting line-up for week one so change is happening for once.

Coughlin must be seething to realize that there is a rookie in his starting line-up because he just has this strange grudge against any rookies. Maybe a rookie stole his cookie when he was playing in college?

Per the Practice report from today, the line up was actually Beatty - Boothe - Cordle - Snee - Pugh. Cordle was actually worse than Baas so that's going to really hurt us as well. Hopefully they show something this week against the Jets or there might be some musical chairs being played at the beginning of the season.

How does David Diehl still have a starting job anyway?

This is a topic of frequent discussion among Giants Fans. I honestly think he could get Eli killed and they would still start him irregardless. He must have dirt on the Giants Front office or something.

I wouldn't mind him as a super sub O-lineman but he just cannot handle speed rushers. I mean Eric Waldon beat Diehl on a speed rush ... that's gotta be a sign to just hang it up at this point.

He has a job because of loyalty.

His versatility is cool for a backup role.

Still.. I'm thrilled.
