That's important.

The hotel is probably keeping it quiet because they / their employer is the one to blame.

I doubt that.

The hotel refused to release footage of the incident. That doesn't say anything?

The police report has the bouncer's injuries listed as: "none"
Incognito's injuries: "bruises and scrapes, refused treatment"

At the end of the day the police didn't press charges against anybody.

Incognito reportedly told police that he broke up a fight between the bouncer (who used to play football for UofM) and someone else.

Let's not jump to conclusions just because it's Incognito, please.

All I'm saying is...who is going to decide to swing on Richie Incognito?

I think Incognito has earned this skepticism based on his history.

Who is going to swing on Incognito? The bouncer, Carlos Joseph, is 6'6", 342lbs and played (albeit briefly) in the NFL.

Yes, I agree he's earned the skepticism but let's learn the facts before turning the thread into another Incognito bash fest.

Fair enough. Last time someone tried to have an Incognito bash fest, he got suspended by the NFL. Wink

My biggest issue with this news is the timing. People cannot deal with the reality that Incognito was a victim in the Smith incident and was on a witch hunt to find something on him in hopes the NFL would fine or suspend him. I get it. Incognito is nasty, a rule breaker etc... but make no mistake this incident coming out now is a result of the Antonio Smith incident and because of that this information only supports what we already know and does not make him any less of a victim.

Bingo. Richie isn't well liked and it's an easy way to get "clicks" on a story right after Smith/Incognito was a top story for a day. Richie didn't do anything wrong, and surprisingly got his [inappropriate/removed] kicked it sounds like.

If you watch Richie the last two seasons he hasn't had any more "unsportsmanlike conduct" penalties than the average player. He has gone on the record saying that he knows what his reputation is/was and he has worked extremely hard to become a good teammate and a team leader. It's hard not to respect the transformation he has made with his life. Unfortunately most are to short-sighted to accept that people change and people can get better.

It appears nothing will come of this and we already have a thread in which people can discuss Incognito's personality and past incidents.

Billy, if this goes anywhere feel free to PM me or another mod and we'll open it back up.
