Are all these random player-for-player trades normal? Seems like it's happening way more than usual this year.

Breaking news? Lol. Hardly.

Wouldn't expect either to have an impact on either of their new teams.

A lot of player for player trades recently in the NFL, something like that is usually rare.

The person who wrote that is a Colts beat writer, for the team, a player for player trade is more exciting that practice report updates, give him a break Laughing

Im kind of drawing a blank here but all I can recall is this one and the other recent one of Jenkins and Baldwin. Not a lot to be honest and neither has any real impact on their teams IMO.

The Seahawks trading OG John Moffitt to the Browns for DL Brian Sanford first and then to the Broncos for DL Sealver Siliga.

The Texans trading WR Jeff Maehl to the Eagles for OL Nate Menkin.

Patriots trading RB Jeff Demps to the Buccaneers for RB LeGarrette Blount.

Colts trading LB/DE Jerry Hughes for Bills LB Kevin Sheppard.

Eagles trading RB Dion Lewis for Browns LB Emmanuel Acho.

Not a good move for Carter. He has almost no chance to make our roster with our RB depth.

Reed is probably the (slightly) better piece as he's at least a good returner when he can stay healthy, but I guess we thought he wasn't worth the meager extension we gave him. I'm guessing we save a tiny bit of cap in this trade.

Well then.. That does seem like an abnormal amount.

Thanks Billy.

After Rice and Pierce the quality of depth at RB isn't anything special. Allen, Berry, and Rainey are all perennial roster-bubble guys. I think Carter clearly has more talent than any of them. Which might not be saying a whole lot.

Howie Roseman and Ryan Grigson are trendsetters
