That doesn't really mean that much right now. If they were in the AFC they'd still be only 2 games out of the wildcard. There are only two teams they're better than in both the NFC and AFC.

Who knew that the Giants and Falcons would be in contention for a top 5 pick?

That's true, but it doesn't change the point that the NFC is so weak this year that they might slip in. The AFC is much stronger overall.

Word from a Falcons source is that WR Julio Jones broke the screw that was put in his foot in 2011 surgery.

That sounds slightly uncomfortable Laughing

If I'm the Seahawks I make an offer for tony Gonzalez. Adding him with Zachary Miller, just as Percy harvin is making his return....could be huge.

Wow, that's got to hurt them bad, especially with Roddy being banged up. Josh Gordon a target for them now (assuming he is out for year)?

I'd say no to Josh Gordon, they have too many holes that need to be filled through the draft. I don't see the Falcons as a contender this season so they should trade Tony Gonzalez to a contender like Green Bay

gold Laughing

Now, if they want to trade him to a real contender, trade him to the Patriots or Seahawks. They could use him as a one year rental.

Imnot a doctor, but id have to think thats better than another bone break. They would just have to go in there and get any debris, right?

I imagine the Falcons will hold onto Tony Gonzalez right up until the trade deadline to see if they can make any type of recovery up until then. If not, I could easily see him dealt to a playoff contender (Kansas City makes the most sense), though that will be completely up to him, not the organization.

apparently he said he wants to "finish up in ATL"? who knows...... I, for one, think we should trade him if we lose to TB after the bye week.

Luckily our owner has ties with Home Depot so he can just go get another screw for Julio for free Laughing

This break apparently happened before his one handed catch in the 4th Shocked
