I like Verrett as a player, and I'd be okay with the selection, but he's not the type of cornerback the niners are looking for. They want big physical corners, and Verrett is a bit on the small size.

I'm torn between whether the niners go WR or CB in the first round next year. Nnamdi, Brock, Brown and Wright are all free agents, and Rogers is going to be a cap casualty. I fully expect Brock to be resigned, and I think there's still the possibility that Brown is resigned or Rogers is restructured.

On the other hand, the wide receiver position is a nightmare for the niners, and Boldin, Manningham and Williams are all free agents. The niners seem to love Williams for some ungodly reason, so its possible he's resigned, and I'm sure they're trying to work on something with Boldin, but until he's resigned, that basically leaves them with Crabtree coming off injury, and Patton and Baldwin. If someone like Jordan Matthews or Mike Evans is available at their pick, I'd love for them to snag them.

I don't see the Browns giving up 3 first for Mariotta

The rookie TE Tim wright is emerging as a sold te so not sold on a TE in the first I like the OT pick but this guy I like better than Jenkins Louchiez Purifoy

I'm a big fan of Purifoy and CBs in general so I wouldn't mind it if we went his way. Wright is playing surprisingly well for us but unfortunately they are trying to make him a WR. Time will tell.

I really want to agree with you on the browns bucs trade but I also have a top 6 list of QBs I wouldn't mind having and when 2 of them are not taken in the 1st. I'm ok with Hoyer coming back, starting for a season and letting the rookie sit back and learn. Besides a WR and CB/MLB/G/TE would be a huge gain.

that is all
