Per @LauraOkmin, who is in St Louis working the sidelines, Rams fear a torn ACL for Jake Long.

Long was carted off the field during the Buccaneers game, could be a long off-season for him if it's a torn ACL, might not be ready for the start of next season.

Pass on Clowney to have a replacement for Long for the first few weeks of the season?

Makes a ton of sense.

Or we just resign Saffold.

Wanted him before this. Our line has been average at best this year.

Houston seems to have Teddy Bridgewater locked up. Matthews would do more for St. Louis then Clowney, now that Jake Long is hurt. The cap savings would be beneficial as well.

It looked awkward, but his knee didn't hyper extend too much. Kinda like Braden Albert's earlier this year. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

Also, the idea of that Rams D-Line with Clowney is downright scary.

yeah, well, no. our oline was pretty solid this season.
but jake matthews makes now more sense, for sure.
but the first option will be a trade down, no doubt about that.

The line has not been average. They are easily in the top half of the league in every category.

He has some problem with Chris Long. Insists the Rams need to cut him.
