Did Chris Long personally harm you?

He has some problem with Chris Long. Insists the Rams need to cut him.

lol please do. So Lions can jump on him!!! lol

I'm sure he'd rather join his little brother in Chicago rather than the Detroit Lions Wink

Tough break. He was primed to be the next great LT and now he just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

You have to wonder if it's a case of not properly taking care of his body. I mean, he's getting up there in age and I know many of the guys who stay in great health through their careers are the ones who really pay attention to proper nutrition, conditioning, and such.

Could just be a freak injury, but he's been so injury prone as of late that you have to wonder if there's something more to it.

In terms of the side discussion on what the Rams should do in the draft, I say the plan shouldn't have deviated. They've got two great picks. I'd easily trade the first one if someone is looking to pounce on Clowney or a QB.

This draft has enough great OT options that they could still find a nice LT addition at their second choice or via a trade down. No reason to pass up the extra value to get Matthews. He might be the best LT on the board, but he's not the only premier option. And for a team that still has holes, they need to continue going in the direction they have been and keep adding talent and depth. They're in a tough division, so it will take overwhelming talent and great coaching to make waves.

Hopefully this means Jake Matthews goes #2.

Doubt it, if we're set on Matthews I think we're trading down...

Cutler re-signing with the Bears today only helps that notion...

Snead has already stated that the #2 pick is in play for trades...

He was really. Had a couple really minor injuries that made him miss a few plays but that was it. Was worth the price of picking him up easily

Why wish ill will on anyone? I'll never understand it. Unnecessary, and terrible karma. Why not just enjoy good football?

It's a very unfortunate situation for the Rams. Hopefully he can rehab and be ready when the time is right. Drafting an OT would allow him to not rush back, but we'll have to wait and see how the draft turns out.

He's got it out for Chris Long. Thinks he's horribly over paid and a bad DE and we should cut him.

Does the injury to Jake Long mean the Rams will be more likely to draft an OT at #2 overall? I'm not sure, but I think the smart decision would be to trade down.

I'm 95% sure we will trade down. I wouldn't at all be surprised if Matthews is the target due to the Fisher connection. I would prefer we get Watkins. Our receiving corps is still below par.

Jake Long was great for us minus a terrible game in Dallas. Very good LT.

what an absolute horrific time to tear your ACL. Don't get me wrong, that injury is terrible no matter when you get it... but tearing it in late December all but ruins the next season..
