He's Jerry's ultimate yes man, why would he want him gone?

This is a guy Jerruh has been molding to be the HC since he was a backup QB in Dallas in the 90's, sitting in on coaches meetings that even Aikman wasn't in. Jason Garrett is the Jones family pet project. They won't let go so easily, even if they should.

Before the 2008 season, Garrett was offered the job in both Baltimore and Atlanta before they settled for Harbaugh/Smith. So, it's not like the Cowboys were the only ones impressed by him.

Sigh. Unfortunately not surprising considering how much Jerry thinks of him. So tired of his terrible game management skills and his penchant for abandoning the running game.

Last year absolutely has to be the last year for him to do something. No excuses anymore.

Keeping Garrett insures there will be mediocrity in Dallas for another year and no playoffs. Hopefully we can pay them back for that week 2 game a couple of years ago.

I'm gonna stop betting on Dallas to make the playoffs

I'm sick of looking stupid in December

But when Rex Ryan says this, it's ok? Laughing

So the Jets haven't accomplished more than the Cowboys in the last 10 years? Why is a Dolphins fan even saying this with 1 playoff appearance in the last ten years and the a playoff victory hasn't occurred in almost 15 years?

As for the Cowboys decision, who cares? They've been a middling franchise for pretty much an entire generation now. There's literally a group of incoming freshmen in college who have only seen the Cowboys win in the post-season once.

Really surprised to hear this. Figured Garrett would be as good as gone this off-season following another poor season for the Cowboys.

Its likely that Jerry reached out to the big names he would want to replace Garrett with, and none of them were reakky interested. So why not go another year with his puppet?

As an Eagles fan, I am happy with Jerry's decision. It will keep the Cowboys stuck in mediocrity. Honestly, I would have been surprised if he was fired, even though he should be.

Eagle fans will happy until Garrett rebuilds the D-line and your QB gets squished.
