He signed a 1-year deal. So it's more of 'not retaining' than firing. But good news none-the-less.

Agreed - their D was pretty awful at times.

Was hoping he would be extended another 5 years minimum.

I don't know why you would feel this way. While he coached poorly against everyone else, he held Chip to 27 points total in two games. Chip's O surprisingly was no match for the worst defense in Dallas history.

Since things are blowing up in Cleveland, I'd go after Ray Horton to be the DC.

It was a mind-boggling hiring to begin with.

That would be a great move for them if they did. I could see him getting offered a HC job somewhere though.

Lovie Smith, monte kiffin, rod marinelli and Leslie Frazier should all join the same coaching staff to make the ultimate Tampa 2 defense. Brad Childress can be the OC.

I'm totally fine with Dallas D playing well vs us as long as they continue to play horrible at least 10 games a season vs other teams, ultimately rendering whatever they did vs the Eagles as meaningless.

This.

You mean the 70 year old coach who's own son fired him wasn't a homerun!?!?!?

Was a bad hire to begin with. Should have kept Ryan.

This...Ryan should not have been scapegoated to excuse an injury plagued defense.
