This...Ryan should not have been scapegoated to excuse an injury plagued defense.

Ryan had several deficiencies with Dallas as well. Kiffin being a poor fit didn't mean that Ryan was the right one.

Ryan wasn't perfect, but why make such an obvious downgrade

No argument here. But there was (and still is) merit to firing Ryan.

The craziest thing about Kiffin was that all offseason all we heard is how the game had passed him by and the Chip Kelly would expose him and all the flaws in his tampa 2.

But one would argue that the Cowboys played the eagles better defensively than any other team in the league...

Its bizarro.

I hate for the second year in a row we are getting rid of a DC when the problems are a severe lack of talent.

Except Kiffin was a large part of the problems as well

Yeah. He had to be gone, regardless of injuries.

So, is it confirmed that Kiffin is being let go?

While true, this defense was even more injury plagued.

Garrett/Jerry, who really knows which one decided, wanted to switch to a 4-3 so Ryan had to be fired.

Our defensive adjustments this year were god awful. How many teams threw 50 slants a game against us and we still never adjusted or could stop it.

Nope. This thread is pure speculation.

This.

You mean the 70 year old coach who's own son fired him wasn't a homerun!?!?!?

And not to mention that said son was Lane freaking Kiffin....

I heard that the Cowboys defense was historically bad this season. Is this true?

could they bring in Dungy as a consultant...?
Don't forget Raheem Morris. Put Jerry Angelo and Tim Ruskell in charge of player personnel... We could have a big ol' Tampa Bay reunion.
