Quote:
Four people with knowledge of the situation told the newspaper that Freeman was habitually late for meetings, while one player said the quarterback often was among the last players in the building.

Quote:
"You could tell Josh did not know the offense," one anonymous Vikings player told USA Today of the week leading up to that New York tilt. "Practices did not really go that well that week. But coach Frazier was in the team meetings like, 'Oh, I think this is the best week of practice we've had all year.' And everyone's like, 'What? What are you talking about?

Quote:
Players also told USA Today that starting Freeman against the Giants came across as an act of desperation by Frazier and a team hoping to justify the $3 million contract they handed the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers starter.

Quote:
"Debacle," another player said of the team's quarterback situation. "When they started Josh in that Giants game, we were as confused as anybody."

Watching him on the field, I don't doubt any of the stories that he's 'lazy'...

This isn't really news.

This is why the Jets chose Mark Sanchez over Josh Freeman. They strongly questioned Freeman's leadership abilities.

It takes Josh Freeman to make Mark Sanchez look good. That's sad.

That start against the Giants was one of the most atrocious QB performances I've ever seen...

Josh Freeman is the perfect example of a million dollar arm attached to a ten cent brain.

Fraizer feilt pressure for his job, and possibly by the FO, to start Freeman. That Giants game was awful.

Speilman's last ditch effort to fix the QB position. He knows nothing when it comes to selecting a franchise QB

As bad of a QB as he is, Sanchez is a good leader. Can't say the same for Freeman at all…

Schiano wasn't right about much, but he was dead on about Freeman.

That being said, did he have a fair shot at being coach?

He actually was right about a bunch when it came to personnel.

And yet, Leslie Frazier decided to start him in one game, in primetime?

Laughing

I'm not surprised, Josh Freeman has become a major bum. No way in my mind is he anything more than a backup at this point, and anyone bringing him in with the expectation that he could compete to be the starter should have their sanity examined... He had the talent, but squandered it. And now, he's damaged goods.

Not surprising. The guy looked to be over the hump a few years ago, but looks like laziness has cost him; potentially even a job in the NFL.

I'm sure some team will pick him up as a backup though.

Anyone from K-State would tell you this is exactly what they expected from Freeman. Guy has ZERO leadership qualities, is absolutely a loser on and off the field. Another example of million dollar talent with a 3 cent brain.

Hope he enjoys playing in Canada or the Arena League. GM should be fired too, nothing like paying a guy 3 million dollars for what is arguably the worst single game performance by a QB in NFL history.
