|
|
|
After numerous reports earlier in the day stated the Munchak would have to fire some of his staff, the Titans have decided to part ways with their head coach.
Titans CEO Tommy Smith and GM Ruston Webster will lead the search for the Titans next head coach.
The Hall of Fame offensive linemen had a career 22-26 record after taking over Jeff Fisher in 2011. He should have no problem signing on as a position coach on another team. _________________

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Truly expected them to keep him as HC for at least another year. I think he goes to Penn St. now _________________

Here's the report from yesterday by Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean that Munchak would be back -- http://www.tennessean.com/article/20140103/SPORTS01/301030112
Quote: | Munchak, on the hot seat after a 7-9 finish this season, has been offered the opportunity to return for the final year of his contract but must meet specific conditions, according to a source familiar with the situation. |
Interesting. Lazy reporting or a true change of heart? _________________

Woo-hoo!!!!
Munch seems like a good guy and I wish him well. But I, and many other Titans fans, had lost faith in him this year. Very excited to see who we get to replace him. _________________

As a Rams fan, this is an interesting move. A lot of former Jeff Fisher assistants will be available. _________________

IT WORKED!!!! MY BLOOD GOAT SACRIFICE WORKED!!!!!
When I heard the reports earlier this year about him staying... I think it was the earliest I'd ever written off a season.
Guy was 3-20 vs winning teams. Bottom 5 head coach. He HAD to go.
Just so happy that the organization can move forward now. _________________
