Never thought he should have been the guy in the first place. Wonder where Tennesse will go.

I wonder what Tennessee does with Jake Locker. If I am the new coach, I would be inclinded to go with Fitzpatrick and Locker another year and reevaluate in 2015.

Munchak, on the hot seat after a 7-9 finish this season, has been offered the opportunity to return for the final year of his contract but must meet specific conditions, according to a source familiar with the situation.

Interesting. Lazy reporting or a true change of heart?

Wyatt is usually accurate 99% of the time. Word is Munch didn't want to fire half of his staff so they just cleaned house.

Makes sense. No need to to go desperate with a complete new staff just on the off chance Munchak is better than a bottom level coach. With newer ownership (at least not Bud Adams) and long timer Munchak gone, it feels right for the Titans to hit the reset button and build in a new direction.

That's a big blow to my hopes of Caldwell getting the Penn State job.

Agreed. Beyond his history with the team, I didn't understand his hiring. He looked below average/overwhelmed from the get go.

Oh don't worry, he gone. In fact, both of your coordinators are huge targets. Guarantee if you guy's lose today, they gone.[/img]

I really liked Munchak but this might be the best thing for Tennessee. They need to get a new regime who can pick a new QB.

If the Seahawks somehow lose Cable - I'd hope Munchak takes a job as the O-Line/[inappropriate/removed].HC.

It'll be an interesting off-season for the Titans. What do they do at QB? What do the do with CJ?

I think one of them definitely will be gone, though I think Gruden the more likely candidate given the offensive nature of the league. I agree that the Bengals will probably have to lose tomorrow to make that happen though; teams typically don't like waiting for their head coaches, I think that's what cost Greg Roman a head coaching job last year.
