50k seems pretty excessive. This is just stupid.

Dunno if there's anything special in the NFL about it, but there are plenty of NBA players that do this.

It's far more negative than just not showing up, though.

plus you can keep your 50k Laughing

Clearly it's something that ownership wants/wanted during CBA negotiations. Clearly this aspect of negotiations didn't bother players enough to oppose it or keep it out of the CBA. Not sure why any 3rd party feels bad for Lynch at all. If I'm misunderstanding this and it's actually in his contract, then that point goes x2.

He knows the rules. You talk to the media because it's a part of your job that pays you millions. It's stupid that he would blow it off.

Ideally, he'd talk like a 1940's gangster in his interviews.

Q: Marshawn, how do you feel about the win?
A: I feel good-see, we played hard-coppah.

etc.

Alternatively, I'd love to see nothing but sarcastic answers.

Q: Marshawn, how do you feel about the win?
A: Horrible.

Q: Marshawn, how much did Russell Wilson's play help you guys out today?
A: Literally none at all. I was entirely responsible. *eye contact*

I love beast mode.

But he's not that eloquent. Laughing Him stringing together a paragraph worth of coherent sentences should be considered a success.

I'd be okay with him just babbling up there as well.

Q: Marshawn, what do you credit with the win today?
A: Banana sandwich monkey tryin' steal my credit card with a choo-choo train made of flyin' piglett bacon. *eye contact*

You have no idea how much I'd pay to see an NFL payer babble on like that during media week.

Yeah it'd be awesome.

Realistically, I think it'd be funny if he said the exact same thing after each interview, with a pause where the individual team/player is mentioned like it's a Madden game or an automatic phone operator.

"I think the...[Rams]...are a very good team and we were fortunate to get out of...[St. Louis]...with a win."

Honestly, given that I've put a total of about 20 seconds of thought into this and already have 4 different ways to 'talk' to the media once a year to avoid the fine, I don't see any reason why ML can't just do something funny.

i would love to see just a bunch of stuff like this on during the superbowl.

"how do you feel about the big game coming up"

"you know its been real (slight pause)exciting to see how our team hasummm... with each came together for the team in a game with teams working in a game with that is a good idea

Here's the interview. It's so obvious that he doesn't want to be there.

I think Lynch should be praised by the NFL and its fans for not answering questions. Have any of you heard his vernacular???

Or maybe he's not a confident public speaker?
