Ireland the guy who gave Phillip Wheeler that big contract? Yeah he should be fired.

Yeah, keep firing the people that have nothing to do with why you're failing. Laughing

Lmfao if you truly believe this. His play calling this year was terrible and it doesn't take a single brain cell for it to be noticed. Not saying he's sole reason for our failure but anyone that has actually watched us play and believes he should keep is job you get blocked from this site.

Oh I don't disagree that he was bad, but he is not even close to your biggest problem. But hey, keep firing those lower tier guys to make it seem like you're doing something to change.

I truly don't think Ireland is even that bad of a GM. We needed pieces on offense? He brings in guys like Dustin Keller, Brandon Gibson, and the big FA Mike Wallace to boost our passing attack and resigning Brian Hartline. He brought in Karlos Dansby, and once he left our team, he is playing like a top 8 player at his position this season with the Cardinals.

Ireland does bring in decent talent, our coaches just can't utilize their talent well. Our drafts may not have been good with drafting Michael Egnew over TY Hilton, etc., but i guarantee if Dion Jordan was on any other team, they would utilize him WAY better than we have, same with Mike Wallace not getting the ball on screens and deep slants, where hes most effective

Ain't that the issue? Your job as a GM isn't just to collect talent indiscriminately. It's to bring in talent that fits the system your coach uses so that they are used properly.

Don't worry. Sean Payton would pass the ball in a Tornado.

But would he do it in a Sharknado?

Trying to hire assistant coaches with a lame duck coach and GM is not the easiest thing to do.

Sherman is gone whose play calling at critical moments were puzzling at best and down right awful at worst, Ireland is gone...whose track records includes missing on 14 out of 15 second and third round draft pick, signing and drafting player all "willy-nilly" without concern to established system and schemes. Hopefully Ross doesn't screw the pooch on this hire and the Dolphins can be more then a Monday morning joke...

Scanning through some sites real quick his offenses haven't had much success, college & NFL, until this year as OC under Chip Kelly (offensive guru). Initial feeling of "meh"
