Nice pickup, he's a good player. At least now that definitely gives us the freedon to use the #3 pick on a stud defensive player, Rolle or Johnson hopefully.
Anyone have any thoughts for our second round pick? Barring another O-line pick up, I say draft a lineman in round 2. |

Great pick up at a perfect price, I am extremely happy with this move. It gives me confidence in Savage and Crennel's ability to attract the top players. I hope we go out and spend for another top guard like Cosey Coleman, to really free give us the OL support we need.
I would also look for us to pick up a big NT like Ma'ake Kemoeatu or possibly Ted Washington if he is cheaper and then draft Means/Bryant to back them up and eventually become the starter, probably taking them with either the second 4th or the 5th.
Overall though, we need to take the best player available with every pick. I think we have an NT need because we don't really have one, but other than that we have players to play the positions. If we latch onto a guy that we like we take him. We don't draft positionally because we aren't planning to compete in one year.

Kemoeatu would probably be cheaper, as Baltimore offered him the low tender. Since he was undrafted, all we have to do is offer him more than a one year $665,000 deal. I'm glad the Ravens left him unprotected.
Another NT possibility late in the draft is Sioune Pouha from Utah. |
