The Bears now signed 7 of their 8 draft picks, only DT Will Sutton remains unsigned.

I love the rookie salary cap.

That must be a record not counting #1 picks who sign a contract before the draft.

Damn...Bears doin work!

That was really fast.

And yes....love the rookie cap for allowing signings to be more streamlined and get done quicker.

Cliff Stein pumps out the contracts quickly on such a consistent basis.

You just have to hope that these players dont do anything stupid with this cash from now until camp. Personally, I would wait until the last possible moment to sign my rookies. Reduce the risk of them losing focus.

You can't be serious...the elite prospects can often get damn near anything they want while they are still in college, once drafted the contract is all but guaranteed to happen at some point and I imagine it's not difficult at all for a rookie to get some money (be it from his former boosters, his agent, any rich individuals he may have become acquaintances with, etc...) while he's waiting for the deal to get done, especially the first rounders.

Like how Brandin Cooks bought his mom (or grandma, don't remember) a brand new Mercedes 3 months ago. Laughing

Getting money isn't tough for top prospects...

The joke in the Bears forum is we are waiting for the day when after our pick is announced they walk over to a table where Cliff Stein is waiting with their new deal.

HAHA! I'd pay some outrageous dollars to see that, that would be funny!

I love the rookie wage scale. It eliminates all the BS of seeing what everyone else signs.
I love it
