I believe this approach is called the "shotgun approach"

i doubt any of these players last after one year.

i have a feeling we'll use a first rounder next year on a pass rusher and a pass catcher. high second on an ilb. defense will be finished-ish, offense will be finished-ish (pending manziel's success).

He beat Brandon Browner for a 50 yard game winning TD on 3rd down with Rex Grossman in 2011 at the Clink. It was embarassing.

what in the world happened to Miles Austin? He has a couple of damn good years iirc.. but then over the last few seasons I have barely heard his name at all. does anybody really know what the deal was/is with him?

If he can get back to the level he was playing at back in '09 for example.. then getting him at a fair price could be a total steal imo

This Browns offense has the opportunity to become really explosive. If Manziel can develop into the QB that I personally see him being able to do.. so add that dynamic QB play to a guy like Josh Gordon (once he's available again) to someone like Miles if he can regain his form.. with a stud in Ben Tate in the backfield.. and at TE they have Jordan Cameron who I'm not all familiar with but it seems like he's becoming a pretty good one. (I always mess up Jordan Cameron with Cameron Jordan) I've been on the Manziel train ever since I saw his play in the Bama game in his first season (RS Freshman), I have a gut feeling that he will become a star QB.. maybe not this upcoming year, but he will be considered a star within the first few seasons, in my honest opinion. I feel like the Browns more then ever are going to ride or die with Manziel.. and luckily for Browns fans I do believe that he will end up solidifying himself as the QB up there for many many years.

I didn't read the thread, I didn't have time to go back and read every post the was made, which is why I posed the question so someone who knew could help me with a quick answer. Yeah, you might find that lazy of me to do so, but oh well.

And thanks for letting me know what his deal was.. hell having one bad hammy is awful enough, but having both or multiple injuris to the same one I can only imagine how difficult that makes any player play their positioh, let a lone a WR who has to really run, cut, jump, etc..

Anthony Armstrong is still around?

Oh.

I like Miles, but he looked pretty bad last year...glad the Jets never paid up that tender for him a couple years back. Decent pick up for the Browns...better short term than anyone else they could've gotten imo.

When utilizing the shotgun approach to filling a position, not all projectiles hit the target.

In this case, the veteran Bennett was an afterthought in OTAs, while more talented undrafted players like Chandler Jones (San Jose St), Kenny Shaw (Florida St), Jonathan Krause (Vanderbilt) and Willie Snead (Ball St) all had their shining moments.

Bennett had every chance to stick on the Browns roster, but was getting outplayed by UDFAs.
