I'll never forget Mel Kiper saying that we'd regret it if we passed on Clausen at number seven or wherever we were picking that year. Good times.

ha ha ha... Kiper is a talking head that has made a career of of getting 1 of 20 things right.
Any of us could do his job..

I can't believe I'm about to do this, but he's encyclopedic knowledge of past prospects, times and small bios is pretty insane.

He was on local radio here a while back, year or two ago, and the guy started asking him 40 times from guys, he was going back OVER 10 years and Kiper was like on the 100th of a second. He'd just be like "4.49 SS, Vermont, big hitter but lacks coverage instincts, late round pick" lol Then they'd go to the next one.

He was like a computer. It was pretty cool. He's not a talent evaluator but he's kind of the human NFL Draft Scout which is kind of nuts all that stuff that sticks in his head.

I can't believe you did that either... Very Happy
But that is what he does.. ok.... he memorizes 40 times and bench presses.... again, we could all do that if it was our job... he is no more knowledgeable than anyone else.

I guess they aren't sold on Cutler as their starting QB. Quite frankly, I don't think it's a good move, but I will wait to see the guarantees before passing further judgement.
