Coughlin said it's a foot injury

If it's an achilles that would really suck. Could be nothing, though. I guess "we'll see".

I'm really hoping it's not, seems like it's not an ACL injury bc he walked off on his own power and wasn't stretched out on a cart
But like you said we will see

Actually the one you've got to fear if it's a "foot injury" is the Lisfranc. That could be a significant time-misser.

Apparently it is the bottom of his right foot. Felt like something was moving around in there he said. I'm not doctor, but sounds like a broken foot maybe.

Let me give you my personal opinion, on what I think has happened.
It all started with the release of the coke machine in Brandon Jacobs.

Damn that really sucks. He is one of those guys that is so talented but always has a major injury that ruins his season. Best of luck Jon

So is there any word yet on the significance of the injury? Will he miss the whole season?

This is true, about how long would he miss if that was the injury? Also could it be turf toe? I don't know much about injuries lol

For anyone who wants to know, I think he is still undergoing tests probaly will find out the injury today

Welp... time to call it a career?

Shame, too, as he looked like he would be able to resurrect it in New York last season.

I think no news is good news actually. If it was an Achilles injury they would already know that. Broken foot know that. Now that's not to say Turf Toe or a broken big toe or two is not a set back but seems like the major injuries have been avoided.

Unless the Giants are waiting to "confirm" the speculative diagnosis before making one for the public to go ape nuts over.

12 weeks is right up against the start of the regular season, so Beason could miss a game or a few. Source confirms @KimJonesSports report.

Damn, foot injuries suck. I fractured a bone in my foot exactly a year ago and I can still feel it everytime I run. Granted, I'm not a world-class athlete and I don't have top of the line medical treatment, but it still sucks.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think he can be put on the PUP list because he participated in practice.

He can only be put on the new short term IR which for the purpose of this is practically the same thing.

I don't think the Giants want to waste the short term IR that early and may just hold Beason on the active roster

Hopefully he's back in time. Or, if not, only misses a couple games. I want that dude to ball in NY.

Really? Hm didnt know that

But its a 3 month injury right? 12 weeks?
He could be ready by game 1 vs Detriot, Beason even said he is aiming for week 1 so you might be right, they might just keep him on the active roster

The Giants making headlines every week it seems. Will Hill, Jon Beason, Jayron Hosley? Tough breaks for them. To think, training camp hasn't even started yet.
