Sources tell me the Broncos have made an initial contract offer to Demaryius Thomas. It's a 5-yr deal.

If this happens, good for them. He's a good WR... but I'm not entirely convinced his numbers aren't inflated a bit from Peyton Manning. It's hard to gauge how "elite" he really is, I suppose we'll find out once Manning retires.

I do believe that they are about equal as deep threats, with Vincent better at intermediate routes but Thomas can make a 2 yard screen pass/bubble screen into a 75 yard run like no other large WR.

IMO age makes Deymarius the better option but Vincent is totally underrated. As a Broncos fan, I would say they are very equal talents.

Good move for both sides. I think the whole numbers inflated by Peyton is getting old. Any WR/TE that plays their whole career with a HOF QB will get knocked for it

Do we say the same for Gronk? Graham?

Regardless of his numbers, he's very talented. He burned a few teams pretty badly when Tebow was slinging the ball around.

This inflated by Manning crap is getting old. Either Thomas gets credit, or Manning does. I've seen a lot of people discount Manning while simultaneously discounting Thomas and it doesn't work that way.

DT is a fantastic WR and if someone thinks that's because of Peyton then they don't know how to evaluate players. DT is among the elite WR'S, He's big, fast, young and deserves a nice long term contract. Good move by Denver that was inevitable.

Very good WR, top 10, with prototypical size and athleticism but his hands and route running are nothing special by any means at this point in his career. If he was on any other team these past 2 years there is absolutely 0 chance he puts up the same kind of numbers (which are GOAT numbers for his age), unless of course you believe he is the, or one of the, greatest 26 year old WRs of all time.

I'm too lazy to double check but I once read he averaged 100 or right under 100 yards a game the last 6 or 7 games with Tebow. Laughing

That's like 300 a game with Peyton you'd think.

I doubt it. I'm not entirely sure Tebow had 100 passing yards all those games.
