The #Lions have terminated the contract of CB Chris Houston with an injury settlement. Thatís how they got the $ to sign TE Eric Ebron.

Houston signed a 5-year, $25 million deal with $8.5 million guaranteed last March. He earned $7.5 million for one season under new deal.

I'm curious to see if maybe Detroit re signs him again on a cheap 1-2 yr deal maybe? Or is there going to be to much of a bad taste in his mouth? Maybe they go get Flowers!?

They currently don't have money for Flowers

CBS are horrid. This is gonna be ugly. Detroit safeties should be idp gold for fantasy.

Glad they cut him now so younger guys at least get more reps

Don't have money for Flowers now, but if they can finish Suh's extention, Flowers COULD be a possibility.

Sucks to see Houston released. He was a good player for the Lions. I'm going to miss him intercepting Tony Romo. Crying or Very sad

I doubt we sign him back. His injury might be very bad (team had kept pretty quiet on it) and he might be a bad scheme fit (meh athleticism and pretty much only a press-man CB when we are likely going to mix coverages with higher level athletes)

The reviews seem to be high on Dexter McDougle and the team seems to have confidence in Dimitri Patterson, but I wouldn't mind if the Jets signed Houston on a one-year deal.

I wouldnt mind if MN gave him a look, MN plans on running a lot of press coverage. If Houston's health clears, he would have a spot at RCB in MN.

There were rumblings earlier in the offseason that his injuries could be career threatening.
