They also placed Safety Corey Lynch on injured reserve.

Adams has been a each of the past 3 seasons for both the Browns and Broncos, playing in all 48 games and recording 208 tackles, 33 passes deflections and 4 INTs.

He's a veteran who has a good chance to start opposite LaRon Landry.

Not much of a playmaker at all. Really not a relevant player, just an average player.. He usually doesn't make many mistakes but doesn't make any big plays either. He isn't aggressive or much of a tackler, but he almost never blows his assignments in coverage. He is kind of just there.

There are worse traits a safety could have.

Chris Clemons was sort of the same way for Miami.

Definitely. I have nothing against Adams. He was a decent player in his first two years here especially last season. I am just stating my thoughts on him though and what Colts fans should expect. He isn't going to do anything that stands out for either good or bad. I hated it when Denver used him at SS though because he is a prototypical FS with how he just simply is good in coverage, but he isn't much of a tackler or relevant in run support.

Almost every team has a team or two they're more likely to pull from. Bevell got offensive guys from Minny because that's where he was before. Bradley pulls defensive guys from Seattle because that's where he was before. Etc, etc, etc

Nothing like Oakland stealing players from Green bay.

not to suggest it's not possible. But if he was considered starting material they would have signed him long before now. Lynch wasn't even considered in the running for the starters job before his injury.

Huh?

Mike Adams was a pleasant suprise last season. As a backup FS, he preformed well. Really couldnt ask for much better play from a backup FS actually. I would have liked the Broncos to re-sign him as I dont trust our S depth. I would argue that Mike Adams was a more reliable player than Duke Ihenacho last season.

He should not be spoken of in the same breath as Bolden. Bolden is the anti Adams. He always screwed up his assignment and never picked the right direction.

I would be suprised if Adams isnt starting for the Colts.

mike adams is a backup quality player that every team should want to have coming off the bench. at least he was for the browns. if he's still got it, good pickup.

Oh I know. Its just that these two really jumped out to me.

There is a Seattle-Jacksonville connection, as well as Pittsburgh-Arizona connection that I noticed too.

I just find it very interesting.
