I can't see NFL Network hiring him. If he does get into broadcasting it'll be for college football.

Best wishes to him in retirement. Guy certainly had his moments in the NFL.

I don't know...Bob Costas has a firm choke-hold on that title right now....

I can't find anything on NFL.com about whether or not they're waiving the 5 year waiting period for the Hall of Fame induction.

UT takes care of their own, even the players who don't even play in the NFL, let alone a ATX legend.

Its always comical when a player that no one wants decides to officially retire.

I was about to say that Vince Young's "retirement" reminds me an awful lot of Rashard Mendenhall's. The only difference is that Mendenhall saw the writing on the wall a lot sooner.

I don't feel too bad for Vince Young, though; he's going to get a decent pension from the NFL.

I wish Vince got a chance to be on a team that was built around his strengths. Today, coaches aren't afraid to think outside if the box and play to the strength of the QB. I would've instantly changed my offense around a special talent. Especially with Bo Scaife being your most reliable target.

I think Vince was 5 years to early because he be great playing for some of these coaches today in some of these offenses.

I disagree. He has the chance to play now and can't do it. True he isn't a rookie, but teams now are running offenses built around some of his skills and he still can't stick.

He flashed and when the NFL defense caught up he fizzled.

That game against USC was one of the best I've ever watched. Too bad he never worked out.

Single handedly won that game. Best gave ever too.

That with the Rams in 99, For selfish reasons.
