Me and Patriot 12 have teamed up to deliver you the best mock draft...we have explained each pick, we are working on the later rounds but thought we would put it out early. Please review our picks, tell us what you would like to see, you know more about your favorite team than we do.
DOLPHAN9954 AND PATRIOT12’S 7 ROUND MOCK DRAFT
FIRST ROUND:
Houston Texans: Reggie Bush HB USC
The most electrifying player in the last 10 years to enter the draft
New Orleans Saints- Mario Williams DE NCST
Williams is comparable to Julius Peppers, should immediately improve New Orleans Pass Rush.
Tennessee Titans Matt Leinart QB USC
The most decorated college QB in NCAA history, to be groomed by Mcnair.
New York Jets D’Brikashaw Ferguson OT Virginia
Best LT to come out in 10 years, would be a mistake not to take
Green Bay Packers- A.J. Hawk LB OSU
Teamed up with Nick Barnett, Hawk should succeed.
San Francisco 49ers Vernon Davis TE Maryland
Davis should strongly assist Alex Smith learning
Oakland Raiders Jay Cutler QB Vanderbilt
Aaron Brooks is a short term option…Cutler will return the Raiders to glory.
Buffalo Bills Haloti Ngata NT Oregon
No more Pat Williams or Sam Adams, Ngata should get this Dfense over the hump
Detroit Lions Michael Huff DB Texas
The Lions have good CB’s but they still need DB help, Huff can cover any number 1 WR
Arizona Cardinals Vince Young QB Texas
How old is Kurt Warner again? You gun could make this offense top of the line
St. Louis Rams Manny Lawson DE/OLB NCST
Teamed up with Claiborne and Coakley, they should be good at LB situation
Cleveland Browns Broderick Bunkley DT FSU
No way the Browns pass on Bunkley, he should greatly improve their run defense
Baltimore Ravens Ko Simpson S SC
Ko teamed up with Ed Reed will turn the Ravens back to the most feared Defense in the NFL
Philadelphia Eagles Santonio Holmes WR OSU
Holmes is a playmaker, he can run, throw and catch…finally a WR for Donovan
Denver Broncos (from ATL) Chad Jackson WR UF
Finally a WR other than Smith who can catch, they now have a 3 headed monster at WR
Miami Dolphins Jimmy Williams DB Va Tech
Cornerback was addressed this offseason, LB was to, Safety is a need and is BPA here
Minnesota Vikings Gabe Watson DT Michigan
Gabe can play Under Tackle with Pat Williams, solid 4-3 Defensive line
Dallas Cowboys Demeco Ryans LB Bama
Demeco is a flat out beast, should dominate with Ware
San Diego Chargers Winston Justice OT USC
Young Philip Rivers needs protection and Justice provides that
Kansas City Chiefs Antonio Cromartie CB FSU
Fast corner, to go along with Surtain
New England Patriots Richard Marshall CB Fresno St.
Asante Samuel and Ellis Hobbs need a little help, not sold on Samuel as a number 1
Denver Broncos (from WAS) Mathias Kiwankuka DE BC
Will take over the reigns from Trevor Pryce…solid pickup
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Marcus Mcneill OT Auburn
Chris Simms should feel a lot better passing ball with this beast on his side
Cincinnati Bengals Leonard Pope TE Georgia
Pope is a beast, should help get Chad Johnson open
New York Giants Tye Hill CB Clemson
Replacing Will Allen, with Hill who has same build but much better upside
Chicago Bears Mercedes Lewis TE UCLA
Speed and hands should help Grossman, Orton, or Griese, could put this team into the Super Bowl
Carolina Panthers Bobby Carpenter OLB OSU
Panthers need LB help this is where Carpenter comes into play
Jacksonville Jaguars Chad Greenway OLB Iowa
Another great LB for Jacksonville, should be a first year starter for Ayodele
New York Jets (from ATL) Jonathon Joseph CB SC
Ty Law is gone, which leaves the Jet secondary in shambles, should team up and go on a tear with Dyson
Indianapolis Colts Deangelo Williams RB Memphis
He falls so they take him, and don’t regret it…he fills in for Edge
Seattle Seahawks Max-Jean-Gilles OG Georgia
No more Hutchinson, leaves Gilles has big shoes to fill
Pittsburgh Steelers Lendale White RB USC
With the Bus gone, Lendale steps for short yardage
SECOND ROUND:
Houston Texans Eric Winston OT UM
Best footwork in the draft, should drastically lower the number of sacks, provide blocking for Davis and Bush.
New Orleans Saints Thomas Howard LB UTEP
Only linebacker I have ever heard on team is Scott Fujita, this should improve this
New York Jets Tamba Hali DE PSU
John Abraham is gone, Hali at least gives them a pass rusher, he had a bad pro day
Green Bay Packers Maurice Stovall WR Notre Dame
They are about to lose Javon Walker, so depth is needed here for Favre or Rodgers to throw to
Oakland Raiders Donte Whitner S OSU
They a ton of defensive help, Whitner gives them a ball hawk there
San Francisco 49ers Laurence Maroney RB Minnesota
Kevan Barlow is unreliable, so they take Maroney, for a spell back system
Tennessee Titans Jon Scott OT Texas
Leinart needs a little cover…Scott is a beast
Detroit Lions Ryan O’Callaghan OT Cal
They just signed a few QBs, give them O-line help here
Arizona Cardinals Nick Mangold C OSU
Mangold comes in and helps lead this Cardinal offense, should protect VY and Warner, to give them time to throw to Larry, or Anquan
Buffalo Bills Darnell Bing S USC
They lost Milloy to ATL, he is the same type of S only younger
Cleveland Browns Ernie Sims LB FSU
He drop this far due to size, but stranger things have happened (IE: Aaron Rodgers)
Baltimore Ravens Omar Jacobs QB Bowling Green
For depth purposes and Kyle Boller is on the hot seat and Omar may have to step in
Philadelphia Eagles Dominique Byrd TE USC
Smith a counter-part, and Byrd is someone who can block and catch when needed
St. Louis Rams Anthony Fasano TE Notre Dame
Fasano will help Bulger find open WR’s by taking a S away from Holt and Bruce
Atlanta Falcons Jason Allen DB Tennessee
Lawyer Milloy helps a lot, but Allen can play FS, this leaves ATL with the 2nd strongest secondary behind Baltimore
Minnesota Vikings Daniel Bullocks S Nebraska
After losing Chavous, Bullocks can come in and make a big impact, he has incredible and could a WR if needed
Dallas Cowboys Pat Watkins S FSU
After losing Darren Woodson the Cowboys need a replacement and someone to go with Roy Willaims
San Diego Chargers Sinorice Moss WR UM
The Chargers have one of the leagues slowest WR cores, Moss can help fix that
Minnesota Vikings Charlie Whitehurst QB Clemson
Whitehurst can come in, and learn the system behind Brad Johnson, who isn’t getting any younger
New England Patriots Abdul Hodge ILB Iowa
After losing Mcginest the Pats take Hodge and is best starting LB available, Vrabel moves back outside where he is best
Washington Redskins Deuce Latui G USC
Deuce is a beast and could easily start, had a decent pro day, that’s why he is still available
Kansas City Chiefs Spencer Havner DE/OLB UCLA
With the loss of Shawn Barber felt they take Havner and he becomes a stud
Cincinnatti Bengals Rodrique Wright DT Texas
Cincinnati is strongly in need of a run stuffing DT and Rodrique Wright brings that to the table
New York Giants A.J. Nicholson LB FSU
The Giants look like they don’t have a shot at Lavar, so they go into the draft targeting one, kind of a reach because of off the field issues, but A.J. should produce
Chicago Bears Devin Hester WR/ATH
Probably the most versatile player in the draft, Hester can play WR, RB, CB, S, KR, PR, and was a high school QB, the bears take advantage and don’t regret it
Carolina Panthers Joseph Addai RB LSU
It’s always good to be deep at the RB position, and the Panthers showed that in the playoffs where they were Super Bowl favorites…until Foster and Goings got hurt
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Kamberion Wimbley DE/OLB FSU
Derek Brooks and Simeon Rice need help, he comes in and helps out them both
Jacksonville Jaguars Cedric Griffin DB Texas
The weaker part of this Defense is its secondary, and Cedric Griffin helps Rashean Mathis over the top at S
Denver Broncos Brian Calhoun RB Wisconsin
With the loss of Mike Anderson, they address that in the draft, by taking a back, that can run the ball with power and speed
Indianapolis Colts Davin Joseph G OU
A steel this late in round 2, Joseph provides help on the O-Line where the game is won.
Seattle Seahawks Martin Nance WR Miami(Oh)
With the loss of Joe Jureviscious the Seahawks go after another big and more athletic target for Hasselbeck
Pittsburgh Steelers Greg Blue S Georgia
With the loss of Chris Hope looming the Steelers take Greg Blue _________________

VD is def. the pikc for SF in the first round. But as for Maroney, I wouldnt totally be shocked that Nolan takes him there should he fall just b/c of his pure potential. But if Ernie Sims is there as well, there is no doubt that the 49ers would take him. I would be surprised if he fell that far just b/c of height. You guys need to rethink some of your picks. _________________ "“With all due respect to who had it before I did, but by the time I leave this organization, I would like people to say ‘Patrick Willis wore number 52 – one of the best players to ever wear it.’” |

Terrible first round Vikings pick. We have the player we are planning on grooming behind Pat Williams already. We drafted C.J. Mosley (who looked good in limited playing time) last year to be that player. We have much more pressing needs to fill in the first round. Greenway, Carpenter, or Hill would be much better picks then Watson. In the second round the picks aren't that bad. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

First pick is wonderful. I doubt he makes it to 19, but if he does, we would love him. Second round pick is not so great. Moss is very talented, but I just don't see us picking up a WR when we still have huge holes at OG and CB. Our Recievers are built on mismatches, not speed, which is why we spent a 2nd rounder last year on Vincent Jackson. Moss would be our #5 reciever if we drafted him. Better picks are listed below. |

| I think that the Browns would be more likely to take Kamerion Wimbley rather than Sims for the same reason you see him falling |

for the Hawks picks:
OG is a possibility with either pick, but they dont need a WR, more pressing needs: CB and DE |

I agree. I think we take Davin Joseph or Chis Spencer there. _________________

Both Eagles picks are pretty bad.We only need a 4th WR that can be a deep threat in case Todd Pinkston isn't ready to go. That doesn't warrant a 1st round pick. Also we signed Matt Schobel to a 5 year deal in FA, so TE isn't a need. We only keep 2 TEs and we have Smith and Matt.
On defense and on the offensive line are where we have needs. _________________

| the Vikings pick is idiotic, they have absolutely no need for DT, let alone a career underachiever like Watson. DT is Minnesota's strongest position by far with Kevin and Pat Williams, Spencer Johnson, and Mosley. ANY other position would make more sense. |

We don't need a 1st round CB but I love getting D'Brick at 4 so I'll try and look past it...Pretty solid mock _________________ "The young heart attack, I spit that cardiac."

Steelers
-1st round- is fine, solid pick in lendale white...........
2nd round- Greg Blue is a bad pick, hes a classic SS, steelers if picking a S, will look more for a FS type........ _________________

Bad Dolphan9954! Bad Patriot12! *rubs their noses in this draft* Look at what you guys did!

We signed Jabar Gaffney, re-sign Darnerian McCants, and Todd Pinkston comes back from IR. Add to the mix returning starters Reggie Brown and Greg Lewis, and this pick is a crock. We have much bigger needs...

...which aparently are ignored again. We've got LJ Smith (great TE) and Mike Bartrum (best long-snapper in the game), and signed Matt Schobel. Another crock. Two wasted picks. _________________ Think you know your Eagles? Sign up and try to beat my wife! |

Enough said by my Eagle counter-parts
Oh boy, cant wait for the next 5 rounds, should be even worse
I'm not a Rams fan but didn't they sign a guy Wil Witherspoon?
That could have been just a rumor, I guess....
Horrible. Marshall over Tye Hill?
Horrible. |

| sorry but the ravens draft is awful. we will not draft a day 1 qb unless it's one of the premier guys. we would most likely take justice in rd 1 and even if we go db, it would be jimmy williams and maybe even whitner/bullocks before simpson. if we don't go safety in rd 1, we would probably take bullocks there in rd 2. if not then davin jospeh or spencer (didn't see him taken?). |
