I cannot say enough about this series, and yet if I don't talk about it I feel like I might explode from joy and excitement.

If you have ever liked E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, The Goonies, Pumpkinhead, It, The Thing, Stand By Me, The Explorers, Poltergeist or any 80's-90's adventure, science fiction or horror movies (especially those with kids as the main characters), you will enjoy this series. I love it. It's an incredibly heartfelt and honest tribute to all of these movies and more with the greatest care and love committed to paying tribute without copying, paying homage without retelling and acknowledging without breaking suture. It's very clear that the brothers who created this series have as much love for those movies growing up as I did and still have.

It's so profoundly sentimental and nostalgic towards that era of films while still breaking new ground and ushering in the feeling and tone of those movies for a new audience with a new, unique and wholly intriguing mystery / story.

I'm only seven episodes in and I can already tell that this series will have a profound and lasting impact on me personally, and hopefully others as well.

Love this show. Production, effects, music is all excellent. Wasn't around too long for the 80s but it was a great decade. Hopefully Netflix adds more horror shows.

I watched the first episode and was intrigued. I'll watch it.

Damn, that's a bit of a letdown, especially considering how short the first 2 episodes were.

That said, I'm loving what's there. Tally another one up on the scorboard for Netflix Originals.

So, Charlie Heaton is just Edward Furlong trying to make a comeback under a different name, right?

He reminded me a lot more of Nick Stahl with the way he acted.

If this is anything like JJ Abrams' Super 8, I am really going to enjoy it....

Great, great show.

They definitely played up that Goonies/E.T./Stand by Me vibe like Super 8 tried to, but films aren't able to go in depth with the plot and characters like an 8 episode miniseries is. This show played on that nostalgia angle perfectly imo. 11 was definitely a scene stealer, hope she's back for season 2.
