Per Ian Rapoport's Twitter.
Weak draft, great move. We'll see if he has anything left, but I knew we weren't going to rely solely on the 3 we have at RG. _________________

Thought he was done a couple years ago. Guess we'll see if he can regain form. Wonder what the contract is. |

Just further indication that we probably aren't going OL until Day 3.
Not a shock. |

I think Elliott Wolf is signing all these players..lol
I'm interested to see the contract details. I'm guessing it's a 1 year deal in the 2-3 million range. Why the hell not? It gives us depth and doesn't make us reach for an offensive linemen in a weak draft. |

I thought I read somewhere where he played really well last year. Good move. Still wouldn't rule out a guard in round 3 or later, if the right guy is there. Certainly adds competition and depth. _________________ From my perspective, and I don't know if Brett would say this [publicly] -- I know he's shared with me -- we would not be nearly as appreciative of everything that the Packers are had we not seen it from the other side," ---Ryan Longwell 2016 |

Doesn't cost us a compensatory pick.
What did I say about us making 1-2 more moves?
Packers have never had this amount of freedom around the draft.
They could sign one more UFA and they would still receive 4 compensatory selections.
EDIT- My bad on Charles... I forgot he was cut.

I think he graded about as well as Lane Taylor last year. That's all we need for a year or 2. |

That's a smart move! Way to go Teddy. Bring in a proven vet to compete. All of the reports are that he turned in a really good season with the Saints last year. They signed him right before the season started .. after he was released by the Seahawks. I read somewhere that he slimmed down a bit, and it really helped him.

He wasnt cut. He's an unrestricted free agent so he will count towards our compensatory formula. _________________

Except he won't.
Go look at UFAs signed vs UFAs lost.
Evans won't cost us a compensatory pick.

Like the move. Hopefully we see more production than we did with Jeff Saturday, Adrian Klemm, and the few other vets we've brought in on the lines. As others have said, the devil will be in the details here. I could see this as a vet min deal, or a 3M commitment. _________________

It's gotta make things easier on him being sandwiched between Linsley and Bulaga. |

I like it. It doesn't pigeon-hole Ted into having to grab a player because of a perceived hole or need. There isn't a glaring weakness or hole at this point. BVA all weekend. And with it being a deep class, we're sure to get some very good players. _________________
