Kenny Golladay, WR 6'4" 218lbs
Quote: | STRENGTHS Tall with arm length to match. Has room to add more muscle and strength. Was the quarterback's pet with his long, available frame. Steps into his routes with push and purpose. Long-strider who, if unaccosted, can eat up cushion and work over top of cornerbacks. Good hand fighter who can create additional vertical separation. Catches it away from his body and with desired extension. Long arms offer a wide net for a catch radius. Can go way up or dig out the low ball. Shows good instincts in space and will work back to the ball if he senses the window closing down. |
Quote: | WEAKNESSES Route strength is below average. Can be knocked off course and off schedule in timing routes. Has build-up speed but needs a clean runway. Could struggle to uncover against bump-and-run corners. Below average sideline awareness. Made too many catches against the sideline that didn't end up counting. Needs to leverage more throwing room for his quarterbacks on vertical boundary throws. Route work failed to create tilt from defenders. Routes need to be better disquised. Passive, positional run blocker who waits to block until he has to. |

6'4", 218lbs. We need a WR with his size. Good pick. |

I actually went to school with Kenny and interned for the football program when he was with the University of North Dakota before he transferred. Was an absolute stud at UND before he transferred. Tall, lanky, but crazy hands though. I have no idea if his skill set transitions to the NFL because I didn't follow him much after he transferred. Hopefully he works out. |

Better give him a jet pack. 4.5 in the 40. Not bad for a DE. |

Surprised they took him over Amara Darboh and Josh Reynolds. He's been good for a few years at NIU, hopefully that production can translate into the NFL. _________________

People on this board said they wanted a big bodied receiver that could push Golden to the slot. We found that guy, while moving down and picking up a 4th, and people still aren't pleased. |

At least he's a lot faster than our 2nd round Corner who would be faster in a wheelchair than on his feet. _________________

So Calvin's 4.40 made him slow & incapable of getting open??? 40 numbers means squat! His size, reach & hands are his weapons! Red zone catches is about going up a battling for the ball, not speed. Let's wait & see how he develops before hitting the panic button. I like this pick & trust Quinn and his scouting staff. |
